Fox News’ Megyn Kelly is parodied in Britney’s new video. At the end of the clip, Megyn tells her to ”Bring it on”.
So, it seems that Britney Spears is still catching some shit over the needlessly provocative and tasteless title to her current single “If You Seek Amy”; the song title that sounds like “F.*.C.K. me” when pronounced a certain way.
Fox News in particular were vocal in criticising Spears’ for the title. Picking up on this criticism and correctly thinking it would be funny, Spears new promo ribs the Fox broadcast in a knowing way.
At the start and end of the “If You Seek Amy” video, Spears has a scene set up to mirror that Fox broadcast. The actor playing the news anchor, the styling of the text on the screen and the background were all set up in parody to look exactly like the cable news channel.
The mocking has not gone over the newies heads. The similarities between the music video’s presenter/ Fox News’ Megyn Kelly are highlighted in the clip above as taken from yesterday’s “America’s Newsroom”.
From what I heard Kelly also invited Spears to come on the show and defend herself in a live interview… as if that will ever happen!

[...] Fox News tell Britney Spears she can bring it on – Amy Grindhouse [...]
I thought that this chick was pretty cute about this whole thing. I’m so happy for this video. All this time I did not understand how If You Seek Amy stood for having sex. I felt so mentally challenged after I watch this. Ashamed of myself. I’m a perv, I should have figured it out!
I think she was a cutie too… my only point was that she refers to the network telling Britney off and the song title upsetting parents. Also, yep, shame on you for not working the title out
some people just can’t take a joke and have to make an issue out of everything
I think they are just getting their own back, I quite like the way they did this.
