For Those Who Missed It… Chris Said ‘Sowwy’

Chris Brown has FINALLY issued an apology over the incident last week, which saw him arrested and brought up on serious charges [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

I’m too exhausted from blogging about this all week, non-stop, and I don’t wish to draw out the agony of another insincere celebrity apology. I will say that Brown, over the weekend, issued a belated and anti-climactic apology in which he expressed his sorrow and yet managed not to mention Rihanna by name or admit to any actual wrongdoing – lest the popo get him!

“Words cannot begin to express how sorry and saddened I am over what transpired. I am seeking the counseling of my pastor, my mother and other loved ones and I am committed, with God’s help, to emerging a better person.”

In addition to his apology, Brown added that a great deal of what people have read in the media/ on certain blogs is completely wrong. Sites like TMZ and Media Fakeout, citing official reports from the popo, claimed that Alien Princess RiRi suffered injuries which included contusions, bite marks, split lip and bruises.

Brown continued, “Much of what has been speculated or reported on blogs and/or reported in the media is wrong. While I would like to be able to talk about this more, until the legal issues are resolved, this is all I can say except that I have not written any messages or made any posts to Facebook, on blogs or any place else. Those posts or writings under my name are frauds.”

  1. Firecracker says:

No self-respecting person is on Chris’ side. This “apology” didn’t help, so poorly worded.

Chris Brown is talking about MediaTakeout’s story on a fake Chris Brown Facebook page, not necessarily TMZ.

    1. I agree FC, it is a lame apology.

MediaFakeOut needed to be called out. I’d read somewhere that he was referring to TMZ too (but I guess perhaps not).
