Farrah Fawcett’s documentary, which chronicled her chemotherapy and other cancer treatments, attracted 8.9 million views on Friday night. The show was reportedly uncomfortable viewing and as such I have not gotten up the courage to go through a box of hankies and weep my way through it yet.

Those who wish to watch the 62-year-old in her video can do so at the links below.

Check out ‘Farrah’s Story’ the cancer battle documentary over at NBC and Hulu.

UPDATE: it was announced today that Farrah Fawcett has died of cancer.

  3. Mystery Man says:

it is so sad that a classy lady like this is spending what very well coild be her last day like this.

not to wish ill on anyone, but when its their time to go watch as paris, heidi, and all those others we all hate die peacfully in perfect health.

it’s such a sad state of things and unfortunately we can’t do anything about it :(

at least i still have my dad’s poster of her in the red swimsuit :)

    1. at least i still have my dad’s poster of her in the red swimsuit

      Still!?!?

P.S. The above is very sweet.

      1. Mystery Man says:

yeah, it was hand me down for my college dorm room so i wouldn’;t have to look at all the chipped paint. why he still had it, i don’t know. don’t yhink my mom was too crazy about it…lol

  4. When I was in seventh grade, I was at Saint Monica’s High School, in Santa Monica, Ca. They were shooting an episode of “Charlie’s Angels” in front of our school, and everyone was out of their tree about it. A small group of us went up to Farrah’s trailer, and we were all too scared to knock and ask for an autograph.

I did not live with my parents, but a young couple, Chris and Dave Jacobs, who had me on a strict after school curfew, which I was breaking as I heard my two-thirty bus pull away.

I knocked on the door, and Farrah answered – I asked for her autograph, and she very sweetly said she was sorry, but she was busy, and if she had an extra hour, she would want to give us all autographs, she just didn’t have the time.

I went home frantic, as I figured if I had been late with Farrah Fawcett-Major’s autograph, my flagrant disregard for getting home on time might be forgiven.

So, I forged all three “Angels” autographs, and when I was met with Chris and her parental outrage, I produced my very pathetic false autographs.

Chris called St. Monica’s, where the principal confirmed that yes, “Charlie’s Angels” had been filming there that day. She turned to me and said, “okay, but I still know that these autographs are fake”.

I still watch any “Charlie’s Angels” re-run’s I can find, and I have a Spanish Charlies Angeles website bookmarked. This starts to fall into obsession, I think.

Despite growing up in “the Industry”, Farrah Fawcett held all of my little friends and me captive. We loved her, we all wanted to, yes, have her hair – my stick straight hair did not respond to the curling iron the way it was supposed to, but we all kept trying.

I was not going to watch this, as I just got out of the hospital a week ago to have some “growths” removed. So far, all is benign, but the surgeons and doctors want to see me now much sooner than was originally scheduled. My nerves are a bit edgy.

Would any of us have the strength to keep fighting like she is? Honestly, if I get bad news, I am not certain I would find living longer worth going through so much pain. God Bless her tenacity and desire, and good for her, making a documentary to show that so much more needs to be done concerning rare cancer research. My father died of a rare cancer, and one of the areas that remains somewhat “low-priority” are rare cancers amongst women.

I could go on, as you all wel know, but I will stop…..

Mystery Man – I , too had the poster – you rule that you still have yours. :)

And I agree with you – some of the really annoying, unkind divas will live forever.

Mel Gibson will go way past the 100 year mark, count on it.

    1. Welcome back :)

I loves your stories my sweet and savour every word (do not judge me please that this time I am too pooped to give this the lengthy reply it deserves :( )

  5. Darling, I know you’re wiped out and am proud of it. No responses ever needed – you’all just keep being my fact checking girl!
