As mentioned yesterday, regarding Fantasia Barrino’s alleged affair with married Antwaun Cook, we really didn’t get anything in the way of a denial. Barrino didn’t deny the affair, nor the existence of multiple sex tapes. Similar statements about the scandal continue today, oddly, after a suicide attempt by the singer, in which her rep talks about how Barrino thought Cook was unattached as his relationship with his wife was thought to be over. Her team is trying to fan the flames in light of today’s overdose of pills by the Idol winner; Barrino today overdosed on aspirin and sleeping pills. According to updates from TMZ and Radar Online, the overdose was specifically a suicide attempt as that was what police were responding to. Barrino was admitted to Mercy South Hospital in Pineville at around 9PM. Her rep confirmed the hospitalisation very early on, as well as the pills, clarifying that the affects were worsened by her being ‘dehydrated and exhausted’ as well as emotionally ‘overwhelmed’ by the scandal.
