Eminem has released his video for Love The Way You Lie, featuring Rihanna. The single, taken from his new album Recovery, is being promoted across other promos on the VEVO platform. The video features some guest stars in addition to Rihanna, who sings the chorus; the characters fighting each other in the video are played by jobless Megan Fox (with bags under her eyes), and Dominic Monaghan formerly of Lost. It’s basically domestic violence set to music, with two famous leads and some ropey special effects (look at the fire in Fox’s hands at the start… it wobbles). It shows Fox and Monaghan back-and-forth slapping the crap out of each other and then making out, a lot. Lather, rinse, repeat for a few minutes and then burn someone’s house down and the stars themselves.
I heard this song a couple days ago, at first I thought “Rhianna and Eminem wtf?” but actually I really like it.
Same here – though Eminem’s almost superfluous, it’s still a good song.
This song is so powerful….it brought chills. Both artists brough forth a lot of pain and a lot of truth. The message is strong and ultimately disturbing. Sadly, too many women understand this song far too well. Maybe somehow this visual will help stop the cycle of violence for somebody. Maybe….? Someday?
