I don’t know whether anyone even remembers this happened since The Fresh Prince came out of the womb and started alternately waving at and flipping off his royal subjects but someone has been charged for the distribution of Kate Middleton’s t*pless photos. It’s been nearly a year since someone bent the laws of time and space and took photos with a potato while standing on the border to another country (I might be exaggerating). The photos of the royal couple, who clearly thought they could not be seen, were largely ignored by the same British press who knew how to play this game and were still invited to the party come the time of the royal birth. French edition of Closer Magazine did publish the photos, though, with the editor claiming n*dity isn’t a big deal… so long as it’s not her own n*dity, I guess. She said at the time: ‘These photos are not in the least shocking. They show a young woman sunbathing t*pless, like the millions of women you see on beaches… It is a young couple that has just been married. They are in love. They are beautiful. She is the princess of the 21st century.’ According to Yahoo! France, editor Laurence Pieau has been formally charged for being in breach of France’s privacy laws. Pieau was arrested recently and will stand trial with publishing director Ernesto Mauri and two photographers.
