Patrick Doyle, President, Domino’s U.S.A., responds to nasty YouTube video.
Dominos Pizza has taken to social media to let the public know about their thoughts on a disgusting YouTube video, which was posted by and featured two of their employees.
The staff members took it upon themselves to do revolting things with people’s food, in the branch of Dominos in which they worked. The efftards videoed and posted it up, for non-pizza lovers to chuckle at.
I was eating my lunch (soup) when I found the clip, and so did not have the stomach to watch.
The two people in the clip, Kristy Hammonds, 31, and Michael Setzer, 32, could be deemed to be either in possession of nothing more than a lack of judgement/ lack a grasp of the whole I Can Haz Lols phenomena. Or, you could think that they are sick, extremely nasty and deserving of being fired and arrested. I concur with the latter.
The Conover branch of Dominos in North Carolina, where the crime was committed, reopened for business Wednesday after spending one day closed so workers could sanitize everything inside the restaurant and throwing out all food and paper products that were not still sealed directly from the manufacturer.
Domino’s issued a statement Tuesday, ”We are appalled by the actions of these individuals and they do not represent the 125,000 hard-working men and women of Domino’s Pizza across the country and in 60 countries around the world.”
A spokesman for the company said that there was no evidence that anyof the food that had been tampered with had been served to customers. The company only discovered the videos when a blogger alerted them on Monday. The original videos was viewed more than one million times before being removed from the site.
Dominos Pizza responded by posting its own YouTube video featuring an apology from its President, Patrick Doyle.
He said: “This was an isolated incident in Conover North Carolina. There is nothing more important or sacred to us than our customers trust. It sickens me that the acts of two individuals could impact our great system.”
The pizza place also set up a Twitter account, @dpzinfo, to respond to comments.
Their tweets were quite informal and thanked customers for their support. One said: “To all that have messaged, RT’d or given a vote of confidence: THANK YOU! It’s been a heck of a day, but we’re glad to be out here with you.”
Should you wish to inform them you don’t want ”booger bread” follow here.
Dominos Pizza disgusting employee YouTube video

This is one of the grossest and best stories to come out in a really long time!
I still have not watched more than about 5 seconds of the video. Even that made me want to throw up! Hope they get slapped with a class action suit, the dumb fucks.
is it wrong that while i was disgusted, i was cracking up at the same time? lol
i hope that this is only an isolated incident, but then again, i haven’t had domino’s since college…lol
It’s never going to be eaten my me again. Screw them!!!
Even if Domino’s can convice the consumer that all is well in their kitchen, there’s the delivery aspect they will have to deal with. The first thing they need to do is to incorporate patent 5,971,262 ( a tamper-resistant pizza box ) into their delivery system. The pizza box that Domino’s has been using for years is a cost saver for them ( a little less material than conventional pizza boxes ) but has become a serious liability, and there’s no economical way of making it spit proof! They’re too many pizza driver blog sites to ignore this issue any longer! Just google ( Pizza Delivery Driver Spit ), and you’ll know an increasing concern among consumers.
Hi Bill – welcome and thanks for the comment. I almost never eat this kind any more. SMH at the nasty employees and these blogs I didn’t know about! Ick.
Though from another IP and with another name “Dennis”, I see another comment that reads as if it were written by yourself has just appeared (and been put into moderation). Please do let me know why two different names are being used to leave these comments – both on old posts and both with Yahoo emails.
Both comment may be deleted by the end of the day in line with the comment policy if no explanation is received.
I think the deliveries are a bigger problem than the kitchen. You can go to some of the delivery drivers sites and find disturbing things they do. I just copied this from one of the sites.
another good reason to tip is that if you tip generously and order from a place often, the drivers will remember you and make sure you get the best service. if you’re notorious for being stingy, however, your food will most likely be tampered with in some way.
my boyfriend was a delivery driver, and i was with him running deliveries one night. we delivered to this one guy who would always call the pizza place being a jerk, and who would never tip. so i sprayed spit all over his pizza, in a way that it wasn’t noticable. and then i spit in all his sauce cups. i had a cold, too. the only thing i feel bad about is that he’ll never realize that karma came to bite him because of his own actions.
That’s just nasty!
My brother (Bill) called me about this site so I looked it up and commented. Also, I pulled comments from one of the delivery driver sites to show that tampering is more common than people want to admit. There are ways to solve the problem of tampering during the delivery process (tamper resistant boxes). We have a patented “tamper resistant pizza box” but the pizza companies are very reluctant to admit that it is or even could be a problem. Why don’t they want to ensure that the quality of their product is protected. Also, by doing that they protect the delivery drivers (most of which are quality people) from unfounded claims of tampering.
I have been a secret shopper for Dominoes. I order food, time the delivery, photo the food, report on the quality of taste and tmeperature. I also report on the delivery people and vehicles.
Though the reports may be less than perfect, I must commend Dominoes for continous inspections and reviews. The stereo-typical employee of fast food chains are young, uneducated and of low income families. I am not judging any of those traits, however, without pride in yourself, you will not perform with pride. so I pray that whoever acts in such disrespect in such a vial way truly repents and finds that acting with pride is more fulfilling than disrespecting with stupidity.
Hi Sheri – welcome to the site and thank you for that interesting snippet of information!
