In the interest of being fair and to satisfy my own morbid curiosity, I went and Googled the finale performance from the people who beat Susan Boyle on Britain’s Got Talent. Diversity beat the “hairy angel” to win the show in a twist that has put every one’s heads in a spin. Check out the performance of the dance troupe below, and see if you think they are the deserving winners.

Wow, they are very good. I haven’t been following this, but does Britain’s Got Talent work the same way as American Idol? That the public calls in their votes? If so, it doesn’t really surprise me that they won, Diversity appeals more to the younger crowd who is more likely to call and call again to vote than Susan Boyle fans. Or so it seems likely to me. And I do think they’re fantastic. They made me feel tired too.
People are going crazy for them in the papers today. It’s very much that they are the nice and upstanding young men who are “setting a positive example” to an otherwise disturbed youth and all that.
