Danyl Johnson appeared on the Today Show for an interview August 27, 2009.
While on the show, the 27-year-old revealed that it was in fact students of his who encouraged him to appear on X-Factor. Good thing he is not impervious to peer pressure (chuckle) at 27, or he would not be on the Today Show and in the position of being the next Internet sensation.
Now, I kind of agree with X-Factor judge, Simon Cowell. Cowell said it’s one of his favourite auditions ever. I think Johnson’s rendition of With a Little Help From My Friends last weekend was rather good. Very good in fact. However, does no one else find it strange that these days even just being an auditionee on a TV show is enough to get you a Today Show interview? Are there no actual celebrities left to interview anymore?
