Dancing With The Stars did a tribute to Patrick Swayze last night.
The first elimination show of the season, which aired 23 Sept. 09, saw two of the show’s 16 contestants go home. This double elimination tactic is often done when the cast starts out too large according to Associated Content.
Ashley Hamilton and Macy Gray were cut after getting the lowest scores.
The show’s dancers performed to songs associated with the late Dirty Dancing star, who passed away of pancreatic cancer. According to The HuffPo the dancers performed to She’s Like The Wind, Unchained Melody, and the Dirty Dancing song, Time Of My Life. The tribute culminated with Tony Dovolani and Cheryl Burke doing the film’s lift scene.
