In this episode, and in the wake of the successful lawsuit against Arthur Frobisher (Ted Danson), Ellen checks into therapy to deal with her fiancé’s murder. She’s also out to bring down Patty by agreeing to act as an FBI informant, assisting them in their criminal investigation of Patty and the firm. Meanwhile, Daniel Purcell (William Hurt), a man from Patty’s mysterious past, steps back into her life, seeking protection from an employer’s deadly revenge which catapults Patty into a new legal challenge.
