It’s been over a week since Universal Studios buried the bad news about Charlie Hunnam quitting the trainwreck that is 50 Shades of Grey.
He (and former co-star Dakota Johnson) got cold feet at the media backlash over the casting and with two weeks to go until filming starts there’s no leading man. Which is why, exactly like before, there’s a listicle of B through Z listers who are desperate for the part.
Included in that list are (get ready to Google half these people, because I don’t even know): Australian actor Luke Bracey, 24 (the frontrunner according to Us Weekly); New Yorker Billy Magnussen, 28; Irish actor Jamie Dornan, 31 (the frontrunner according to PEOPLE); British actor Christian Cooke, 26; Swedish True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgard, 37; British actor Theo James, 28; French Canadian actor Francois Arnaud, 28; Clint Eastwood’s son Scott Eastwood, 27; and, although not up for actual consideration, delusional fans still want either Matt Bomer or Ian Somerhalder.
Hunky newcomer Scott Eastwood is being considered to replace Charlie Hunnam in the role of Christian Grey for the film Fifty Shades of Grey! The 27-year-old actor’s name has been thrown around by fans over the past week and now JustJared.com can exclusively confirm that he has been approached for the role. “He is one of five actors being considered,” a source close to the actor tells us. Scott has already responded to the hype surrounding the role, tweeting “What is all this talk about 50 shades of grey?? What do you all think?? Let me know. #hype #eastwoodlivin” – via Just Jared.
