Another model is knocked up, goody, break out the breast pumps and couture maternity-wear. I am pretty sure all the models of child-bearing age are heavily preggers at the moment. Gisele Bundchen, Heidi Klum, and Adriana Lima already gave birth. Now it’s the turn of one of the veteran models, Claudia Schiffer. The 39-year-old German model is five-and-a-half months pregnant with her and British director husband Matthew Vaughn’s third child. The husband and wife already have two children together; Caspar, 6, and Clementine, 5.

I get a bit nervous when I hear of women nearing middle age and menopause having children. Not so much for the mom since I guess being a mom is a wonderful experience at any age. But more for the children.
My mom had me in her mid 30s. Trust me, having a menopausal mother freaking out during your crucial teenage years was NOT fun.
Yikes – I totally never even thought about her age. But, yeah, you have a point!

with all these older models getting knocked up, one has to wonder how long it’ll be before cindy crawford or some other ancient one gets pregnant…maybe even *GASP* Janice Dickinsoin…if that were to happen, i;d feel sorry for that kid
Don’t even get me started. There’s clearly something in the air. They need to start vaccinating people so it doesn’t spread anymore, lols.
I will say this for her, she has lots of guts having a kid at her age, but |I guess for celebs with rooms full of money it is easy, if he cries, you pass him to his nanny… and you close the door so you do not hear him…

I think she seems “normal” enough that she’ll take the mother role seriously. But yeah, with that much money it doesn’t really matter either way.

@sexy legs and body “Having lots of guts” would be telling someone they need to lay off the red lipstick because they look like a cheap whore. Getting pregnant has nothing to do with having guts. You either have the baby or you have an abortion its pretty black and white. I also think you speak of older women and pregnancy as if its some kind of terrible thing. It isn’t. 39 is hardly old. I would think it would be far better to be born to someone who is 39 with some life experience and patience opposed to some ill equipped teen or young adult.
I think it’ll be something very German, quite traditional. Hope the poor kid doesn’t get a “celeb baby name”.
