This is another rumour that I tossed on the pile earlier today, as the lack of reporting in the source material was so offensive I just couldn’t bare to acknowledge it. It was being reported earlier today, as fact, incredibly irresponsibly, with no proof, that Christina Aguilera was the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her soon-to-be ex-husband, Jordan Bratman. Having read the original report, predictably from the fact-checking-shy Radar Online, of course, there’s no actual story there. None. They do clarify a source who saw the couple at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center told them Aguilera had ‘fallen down’. She had a bleeding mouth and busted lip for which she was treated by a private surgeon. Something supported in the more accurate follow-ups from TMZ. However, there’s the malicious and hard-to-shake implication that Bratman causing Aguilera’s injuries. Based on little than the timing. Further suggesting it’s no coincidence she was in hospital days before filing for divorce. If I had bothered covering this, all I’d have done is C&P ‘bull$hit’. Over and over.
