Christian Bale is a passive-aggressive, swearing bundle of awesome. A punchy misfit who doesn’t like to shave or cut his hair in between roles (in case his next character requires it), and who knows the words to the Powerpuff Girls theme.
The adult me, and the child inside of me, both wet their pants, upon watching this video. There’s nothing about the awkward lead in, The Fighter co-star Mark Wahlberg attempting to beat box, or Bale’s half-hearted singing that I didn’t like. Before you go overstimulating your inner child, you should know he doesn’t threaten to rip any one’s face off, to the theme of the Powerpuff Girls. He just sings the song. With the actual words. And no one’s life is threatened. So you know. As a bonus see also their weirdly Photoshopped cover for Sports Illustrated; a cover that shows the physique Wahlberg worked on for four years, and an oddly-positioned Bale who’s not in character and looks superimposed.
