Celine Dion has picked baby names for her two boys. The fraternal twins, born October 23, 2010 have been without names for the last few days. After being released from St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, FL October 28, following some time in an incubator, the newborns are home with their family.
Dion has already set up a magazine cover for the babies, for which she’s predicted to be paid $150,000. After doing so, she eventually got around to selecting names for the pair. The boys are named Eddy and Nelson Angélil. Eddy is named after Eddy Marnay, who produced the singer’s first five records. ‘He was like a father to her,’ said Dion’s rep. Nelson is named after Nelson Mandela, whom Dion met two years ago at the start of a world tour that began in South Africa. ‘René said that in just the few minutes they were able to spend with him, they were impressed by the human being he is,’ they continued. So you can either meet her for minutes or change her entire career. She’s not fussy. Either way, she’ll name a kid after you. SCORE. ‘Céline and René want their children to be inspired by their names, because they were so inspired by these men.’
