Beyonce ‘Ego’ Video (Another B&W Video)

Beyonce ‘Ego’ video released, yep another Beyonce video in b&w (below).

“My goal for [the Ego] video is simplicity,” 27-year-old Beyonce singer told EW. “In ‘Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)’, I saw this old tape of Bob Fosse’s wife, and I used that as inspiration. I thought in this world, with all the technology and everything that’s going on, to strip everything down—great idea. So I kind of did the same thing, but glossy and black, for ‘Ego’.”

Beyonce released the ‘Ego’ music video and it is somewhat impressive. I like the fierce, very large hair and I am loving the dancing. This music video has a similar basic set up to ‘Single Ladies’, as in Beyonce and two dancers are on a quite simple background and are writhing around, bathed all in black and white.

It was original when she did it in ‘Single Ladies’, it was original when she did the same thing again for ‘Diva’ and now she is doing it for a third time there is nothing damn stale and “so boring it could drive me to drink” about watching this. Nope. Nothing.

‘Sherlock Holmes’ Trailer w/ Robert Downey Jr. & Jude Law is below.

The ‘Sherlock Holmes’ trailer has been released by the ever fabulous Trailer Addict. I love that these film addicts are so good at what they do that I rarely need to get my ghetto bootleg on (anymore) and trail around the wastelands of YouTube, darting from the Tube Popo at every turn.

No idea what the heck this movie is about, but rumour has it that at least one of the male cast hams it up with his shirt off for some portion of the proceedings. Any chance of some hot-arse male-nudity or shirtless action is all it takes for a biotch like me to go and see a boring flick like this. Sex, nudity, pooping, these would all be things that would convince me to sit all the way through even the worst movie.

Will Ferrell & Tom Hanks Jeopardy SNL (Saturday Night Live) May 17 (17-5-09)

Will Ferrell was on Saturday Night Live (SNL) May 17 alongside the surprisingly funny Tom Hanks, who was there being smug ‘cos his new movie ‘Angels and Demons’ reached number one at the box office.

The Jeopardy contestants included Sean Connery played by Darrell Hammond, Kathie Lee Gifford played by Kristin Wiig, Burt Reynolds played by Norm MacDonald, and Tom Hanks played by Tom Hanks.

It’s times like this that I wish I were in the States and could watch SNL in real time. I can catch it online a day later I guess but that sucks a lot of my joy out of it. See, I like to feel superior, knowing that I am hours ahead of all you delicious mother effers and I hate being the last to watch this stuff. To make it worse, the YouTube popo are a little too efficient for their own good and they sanatize the popular site of all the good bootlegs before anyone outside of the US gets a chance to watch (these NBC videos only work in North America.)

Eminem @ Jimmy Kimmel, May 15, 2009 (5-15-09) – videos after the jump.

Eminem was on Jimmy Kimmel, while there he performed ‘We Made You’ and gave an interview to promote his new album ‘Replapse’.  

This man has not stopped to pause for breath in the past month promoting his CD. Artists don’t tend to go quite this b*lls out any more, flinging themselves around the place and covering every damn magazine, like they did 10-years-ago. The star in the past month alone has appeared on the covers of Vibe and XXL and has been immortalised as a comic book character alongside the Punisher, for Marvel.

Before you ask, nope, I got no idea why I’m posting so many videos today either. I think it’s a weekend thing where all the good sh*t piles up and makes a mockery of me come week the start of the week.

Farrah Fawcett Cancer Story Documentary

Farrah Fawcett’s documentary, which chronicled her chemotherapy and other cancer treatments, attracted 8.9 million views on Friday night. The show was reportedly uncomfortable viewing and as such I have not gotten up the courage to go through a box of hankies and weep my way through it yet.

UPDATE: it was announced today that Farrah Fawcett has died of cancer.

This is the last movie the late star made before his sad passing, a year ago. He was a very talented actor and gone too soon. You’ll get no smack talk from me about this movie, as I refuse to speak ill of the dead and I am quite sure ’The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’ will be absolutely fabulous and a must see.
