Sesame Street Lost Its Mind… True Blood Parody

True Blood parody on a children’s show: Sesame Street puppets do ‘True Mud’.

Sesame Street has lost its mind. Or there’s some appeal of the graphic ass phucking and throat ripping out of True Blood to the toddlers of the world that I’m just not seeing. Seriously. I like the show and towards the end of its third season I was on the edge of my seat and replaying Eric Northman’s scenes an alarming number of times over and over (until they were lather, rinse, repeated and happily burned into the back of my eyes where I could see them whenever I wanted). As if Sesame St. releasing a clip of Katy Perry’s bewbs serenading the formally pure Elmo wasn’t controvertial enough, the children’s show, that needs to get its $hit together, has released a clip in which they parody True Blood. The Sesame Street version is entitled True Mud and is sadly vampire sex-free. It shows a puppet vampire Bill, his ridiculous hair, a puppet Sookie, and Lafayette. Am I the only one hoping the infants watching have no effing idea what True Blood is? Jesus, take the wheel. If they do there’s even more sloppy, neglectful parenting going on in this world than Britney Spears has led me to believe.

Britney Spears’ Glee Episode Has a Promo Video

Britney’s Glee promo: Baby One More Time, Me Against the Music, Slave For U.

So, there’s a promotional video for Britney Spears’ appearance on Glee. Spears was excited enough to tweet pictures of herself on the set. Some of the only personalised tweets she’s ever sent from her soulless husk of a corporate shill that is her over-hyped/ over-subscribed Twitter account. Her pictures didn’t show much, but they were hot on the heels of the news that she was definitely going to be on the show (news confirmed by the show’s creator on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show). I just watched this through and it actually looked good. As in, I want to punch out an infant because the second season hasn’t started over here yet and so I’m going to have to find this online when it airs so I don’t feel like I’m missing out. This isn’t half-assed like some of the specials. They seems to be going all out and doing parodies of her music videos including Baby One More Time with Lea Michele, Me Against the Music in which they dress up as she and Madonna, and Slave For U; all complete with accurate sets and costumes.

Joaquin Phoenix Returns to David Letterman

Joaquin Phoenix on The Late Show With David Letterman September 22, 2010.

Joaquin Phoenix owes David Letterman a million dollars. Or something. I forget. Let’s get to that in a minute. After making an ass of himself in the worst fake documentary of all time, Phoenix returned to David Letterman last night. During his unemployment-beardy 2009 showing, during which he basically used Letterman’s show for free mockumentary footage and publicity, we saw a side of Phoenix we never should again… the side that can’t act. For that show, Phoenix and I’m Still Here director Casey Affleck used the ruse that they were making a documentary. I gather, not that I’m ever going to bother watching, Affleck included the stupid footage in his movie without clearing the rights first. When Letterman found out, his lawyers contacted the film’s lawyers and were told ‘Too bad about those monies… bro’… it’s a documentary, thus fair use’. Though, as Affleck’s now admitted, this wasn’t a documentary. It’s a movie and the footage was essentially bootlegged and stuck in the movie under false pretenses and never cleared. ‘You owe me a million dollars,’ said Letterman, annoyed. ‘We’ll work it out, but can we talk about it privately?’, asked Phoenix. In something that made me LOL, literally, when reading, Letterman responded, ‘We’ll go to one of your screenings’. Pictures show Phoenix arriving at the Late Show with David Letterman, where Affleck shot footage of him in February 2009.

Katy Perry’s Breasts are Getting Complaints

Sesame Street video: Elmo with Cleavage-baring Katy Perry singing Hot N Cold.

This was bound to happen as… you know… cleavage and toddlers. Katy Perry made an appearance on Sesame Street and sang a cleaned-up version of her song, Hot N Cold. Perry was wearing a veil and one of the most hideous dresses I’ve ever seen while singing alongside one of the show’s characters, Elmo. The dress seems to be a sticking point. Perry’s cleavage was partly on show. Even though technically she was covered up with a sheer panel over her chest that extended to her neck, parents are mad. Her attempts at covering her girls were unsuccessful and have scored enough complaints for her segment to be pulled from the show. The video above was released on Monday to around a million views, but was set to air on New Year’s Eve. Some parents started to complain that Perry’s cleavage was too much for a children’s show and so producers have yanked her segment. TMZ has some of the comments, including ‘You can practically see her t*ts. That’s some wonderful children’s programming.’

The Simpsons and The Glee Cast Preview Video

Somewhere, some basement-dwelling dweeb bloggers’ heads are exploding at the prospect of the cast of Glee appearing on The Simpsons *head explodes*. The clip above, covered with the insides of my head, shows Lisa Simpson arriving at arts camp being greeted by Glee’s Cory Monteith, Lea Michele, and Amber Riley.

Kanye West Previews 40 Minute Runaway Video

Kanye West has released a preview for his forthcoming video, his overcompensation for the 2-minute-long Power video. That was such a little piece of video that I initially thought I was watching an overlong preview in itself; some kind of precursor to this type of near hour-long self-indulgent clusterf**k. It wasn’t. It was a two-minute-long video that ended the second it reached any kind of crescendo in one of the  biggest musical anti-climaxes I’ve ever experienced. Hopefully this will fare better. Above is a preview of West’s upcoming 40-minute-long music mini-movie, Runaway. Its actual release should coincide with the release of Dark Twisted Fantasy, his re-named album.
