List of Last Night’s Video Music Awards Winners

The MTV Video Music Awards don’t seem to be for categories as flippant as some ceremonies. For example, I don’t lose the will to live reading down the list from the Best Hair Flip in a Music Video, to Best Use of Teeth Whitening. There are awards I don’t think the winners are going to be hiding under the sink for stupidly categorised nominations. Gaga, for example, won several awards including Video of the Year for Bad Romance, and Best Pop Video for the same.

Contrary to popular belief, there were other musicians in attendance at the ceremony. I couldn’t tell you whom. But, I have it on good authority that some other people bothered showing up. Check below for the complete list of last night’s winners. We’ve already seen the red carpet arrivals for last night’s MTV Video Music Awards. Here are the press room pictures, showing a bunch of the same people, and Chelsea Handler, getting to look smug after winning the night’s moon men.

Celebrities in the Video Music Awards press room include, in order, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Cher (wearing an outfit that blew my mind and proved that time travel was indeed possible), Chelsea Handler, Lady Gaga, and Jared Leto.

VMAs Celebrity Arrivals Best and Worst Dressed

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards took place the night of Sunday September 12, 2010. The ceremony, held at The Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles, CA, was subject to much hype and speculation and lived up to little-to-none of that, thankfully. It was pretty much a cookie cutter award show with a not-so-red carpet, side bewb, and Lady Gaga looking a total ass. The gallery of 20 pictures, below, shows the arrivals who walked the VMAs white carpet. It felt oddly Christmassy and a whole bunch of people literally wore black/ white/ grey or some combination thereof. So, I guess everyone but Gaga got the memo that the ceremony was being shot for those who were colourblind amongst MTV’s viewers and so no multi-colours were allowed. Pretending for a second that Gaga didn’t wear slabs of meat to collect her awards, and that Cher didn’t turn up in her 1981 (1891?) Turn Back Time butt-floss, the celebrity arrivals for the 2010 MTV VMAs include, in order; Audrina Patridge, Lady GaGa, Jared Leto, Ciara, Ashley Greene, Justin Bieber, Usher, Katy Perry (basically topless), Sofia Vergara, Jane Lynch, Justin Timberlake (who’s still alive), Rosario Dawson, and Ke$ha.

2010 MTV Video Music Awards Eminem and Rihanna Love The Way You Lie.

It was rumoured, early yesterday, that Rihanna would not be in attendence of the MTV Video Music Awards. Reports surfaced that the singer, seen above wearing her Sunday weave, would not be able to make it to the Sunday night award show as she had other commitments. Specifically, as she’s filming a movie at the moment, it was thought she’d skip performing this very track with Emimen.

Seems she made it, which is only fitting, and the pair performed their duet. Watch the video above for Eminem featuring Rihanna, Love The Way You Lie, at the 2010 VMAs (without the distraction of Megan Fox and budget CGI flames).

Nicki Minaj and Will.I.Am. were the musical openers for Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards. The duet, shown in the video below, sees Minaj and the Black Eyed Peas front man, performing together before the start of the 2010 VMAs that took place September 12, 2010 at The Nokia Theatre LA Live in Los Angeles, CA.. The video shows the pair perform Your Love and Check It Out. The pictures show Minaj having painful-looking facial spasms in the press room.

Celebrity Arrivals at Stand Up To Cancer Event

These are the arrivals to the 2010 Stand Up To Cancer event. The telethon, the third annual of its kind, which can be viewed below in a live stream from Hulu (even for international viewers), raised $100 million for its scientific partner, the American Association for Cancer Research, during its inaugural 2008 broadcast.

The event will feature musical performances by Stevie Wonder, Natasha Bedingfield, Queen Latifah, Aaron Neville and others. As well as appearances by George Clooney, Will Smith, Reese Witherspoon, Jake Gyllenhaal and other celebrities. Cancer survivors Christina Applegate and Lance Armstrong will also take part. Stand Up To Cancer 2010 will be simultaneously broadcast on Fox, ABC, CBS and NBC, and shown on cable channels such as E!, VH1, HBO and others. The September 10, 2010 event begins at 8 PM EDT. One can donate online, bid on items in their auction, or give over the phone. Pictures show, in order, Vanessa Hudgens, Delta Goodrem and Natasha Bedingfield, Rob Lowe, Kristen Bell, Mandy Moore, Emily Deschanel, Leona Lewis (who didn’t wear the t-shirt on the red carpet), Cindy Crawford, Marg Helgenberger, Sofia Vergara, Anne Heche, Kelly Osbourne, Christina Applegate, Jamie King, Marcia Cross, Gabrielle Union, Olivia Munn, Katie Couric (not in a t-shirt), and Tatyana Ali.
