Taylor Swift was the star on this weekend’s Saturday Night Live. The 19-year-old country singer featured in several comedy sketches. This included a spoof with her dressed as Kate Gosselin on The View, Roomies, a Driving PSA and her musical monologue. The full videos for all of which can be watched below.

Taylor Swift was the host and musical guest for last night’s Saturday Night Live.
The musical cutey has been rather over-exposed this year, which was really no fault of her own. Swift was the star of that unfortunate promo, which spoofed the Kanye West VMA incident. Her night on SNL was always going to be rather hit or miss. From what I’ve been reading of fan reactions thus far, she was a hit. And people still kind of want to hit West.

Taylor Swift and Bill Hader can be seen in the video above as they film their promo for this weekend’s show. From this first less than funny video, we can assume there will be VMA send ups a plenty. The Kanye West VMA freak out has already been raked over the coals more times than any reasonable person could stand. The incident was seen, heard, and commented on the world over already. The last thing we all need to little Taylor Swift bringing this up again.

Taylor Swift Band Hero commercial. The country singer in game’s new TV spot.
The multi-talented and award-winning singer is the star of the new commercials, which promote a new Band Hero game. The TV spot shows the 19-year-old sliding into shot, wearing a silver gown and rocking out to a band.
The spot is worth watching, if only for anticipation of Kanye West running on screen and being an ass. I watched it through once and didn’t see him, but perhaps writing about him for the last few months has made me impervious to his douchery. If any of you spot him hiding behind the furniture or something, please let us know so we can intervene and stop there being another incident.

While on the show the country singer was quizzed about the last few days and all of the annoying overblown madness that happened since the VMAs. The VMAs this year were a damn joke, but one thing we did come away with is that Swift is very well held together and handles herself far better than her 19-years would have you think.

Kanye West made more of a fool of himself than usual at the this year’s MTV Video Music Awards 2009.
The rapper this year managed to upset just about everyone in the audience, he spent a lot of the latter-half of the awards being booed, and eventually he was asked to leave after a particularly nasty incident involving Taylor Swift.
