Here’s Taylor Momsen at New York Fashion Week after realising the pantless Hamburglar shtick became tired when she turned 18. Wearing the same charcoal make-up as always, and a dress that looked borrowed, a much-improved Momsen attended the Marchesa show at NYFW in New York City, NY on February 16.
Taylor Momsen covers FHM UK February/ March 2012, because the world needs reminding that she still exists after her 18th birthday (at which point the world unanimously stopped paying attention, because her Lolita shtick became pointless). The interview is as try-hard as every interview she gave before. We learn that she has a totally late bedtime and an addiction to stripper shoes.
Taylor Momsen gave an interview with Elle because she’s such a hardcore hamburglar. She tried to convince people that she quit Gossip Girl voluntarily. This is months after producers said she was fired. I tend to believe producers. There were multiple rumours over months that she would be fired and then she was. She was a brat and people on set had nothing but bad things to say about her work ethic and conduct on set. She was petulant, spoiled, entitled, and deigned to work on Gossip Girl. And now she claims she quit. Moreover, she says she’s quit acting altogether. So she can be hardcore and give more interviews to Elle. Asked ‘And any acting projects planned?’ Momsen replied ‘I quit acting, actually. I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.’
Today is July 26, making it 18-years to the day that our favourite repressed Hamburglar/ stripper was born. I haven’t been this excited since Miley Cyrus turned 18-years-old, and I realised that it changed nothing. Well, anyway, today is Taylor Momsen’s birthday so she’s 18-years-old. Which officially means that the next time her taped sidetidday flops out of her shirt, on purpose, as she flashes crowds and grinds with half-naked teenage girl fans, it’ll be all the less morally and legally-dubious. Who wants to bet she’ll pose fully-nude within 24-hours?
Taylor Momsen has revealed why she walks around in little more than would an easily-overheated lady of the night. Momsen is still promoting her band, although it feels like she’s been on the promotional trail entirely longer than it really takes to get their name out there, given the famous lead. The 17-year-old spoke to PopEater.com, who notes she turned up, ‘wearing little more than a cut-up Motorhead T-shirt, a hoodie and a garter belt.’ Amongst other things said in the video below, Momsen suggests that she dresses like a goth prostitute because ‘Music needs danger… it needs that risk.’ The only danger is her sanitary products being on show, as we learnt the hard way one time she went on stage with nothing covering her privates but skimpy underwear. Perhaps there’s some goth/ hipster intersection that makes showing one’s tampon string okay, as long as it’s really for your ‘art.’ Her idea of edge is as dangerous as black nail polish.
