Celebrity Twitter Reaction Kanye VMA Outburst

Following all of the controversy on Sunday, after Kanye West interruped and ruined a moment onstage for Taylor Swift as she accepted an award, celebrities have taken to their assorted Twitter accounts and blogs to react.

The celebrity Twitter reactions to the Kanye West VMA outburst are brutal and frankly I agree with most of them. Kelly Clarkson took to her official blog and reeled off a very long entry where she called West an a-hole. The celebrities who reacted on Twitter were slightly less brutal about what they thought of West’s actions, but they were still critical of his horrid storming of the stage and humiliating of a 19-year-old girl.

Swift’s own reaction after the incident was to leave the stage and cry. Later, after she had composed herself, she was given a second chance at making her acceptance speech by none other than Beyonce.

Taylor said after the show, “I was standing on stage and I was really excited because I’d just won the award and then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn’t excited anymore after that.  “I don’t want to start anything. I had a great day. I’ve been sent so many text messages and everyone’s been really nice. I’ve had a really, really fun night.”

Michael Beasley Rehab After Twitter Breakdown

Michael Beasley, the star forward for the Miami Heat NBA team, has checked into rehab. The admission to a rehabilitation hospital this weekend was reportedly for substance abuse and depression. If the contents of some of his now deleted tweets from his official Twitter were anything to go by, it was not a moment too soon.

Beasley is probably better off in rehab than on social media worrying his family, friends and fans. The sportsman will stay in rehab for at least 30 days and spend time with John Lucas, a well-known former NBA player and coach who works with troubled players.

Some are saying that the worst of his breakdown was shown on Twitter. The drug use was one thing worrying people. Beasley twittered a photo of himself that has gotten tongues wagging. The Beasley Twitter photo shows the star’s back in the mirror and a SupercoolBeas graphic newly inked across his back. If you look closely down to the bottom right of the image, you can see what appears to be drug paraphernalia. There are some suspicious bags on the table that may be narcotics.

Twitter Down Following DDoS Attack

Twitter was down and not working following a DDoS attack. Twitter suffered a few hours of down time and is still down now for some, following a malicious attack that left users unable to even load the site at all. As a backup of course, many people tried to log into Facebook, only to find it sluggish and struggling to cope with all the people attempting some form of backup access to their social networks. Twitter used their status blog to placate their apoplexy-ridden users.

“Denial of Service Attack On this otherwise happy Thursday morning, Twitter is the target of a denial of service attack. Attacks such as this are malicious efforts orchestrated to disrupt and make unavailable services such as online banks, credit card payment gateways, and in this case, Twitter for intended customers or users. We are defending against this attack now and will continue to update our status blog as we continue to defend and later investigate.” (via Twitter Blog)

While this isn’t entertainment news, it is the reason I turned to drink in lieu of chasing actual human company, this afternoon. Twitter is back for some and should recover fully soon. Anna Paquin’s Facebook Page is a Fake

Anna Paquin has let her fans know that the Facebook profile they have been interacting with is a fake. The True Blood star says the person running the page in her name is an impostor, who has started a profile on the social networking site to issue false information about the actress.

“In the last month I’ve been ‘engaged’, I’ve been in hospital and evidently my ‘manager’, who is indeed writing on it, can’t spell or use grammar,” Anna laughs. “They have this whole world going about me, and things that I’ve said and pictures of the ring when I got ‘engaged’. Britney Spears Not Dead Despite Hoax Claims

Britney Spears’ official Twitter and Twitpic were compromised earlier today and a fake announcement sent out saying that she was dead. The star’s social network was thought to have been accessed by someone getting hold of her TwitPic details and using that to send out an automatic message. The message they sent maliciously said “Britney has passed today. It is a sad day for everyone. More to come.”

Ellen DeGeneres and Diddy’s Twitter accounts also posted fake death announcements today, as part of the same nasty attack. This is so freakin’ mean. After all the celebrity deaths in the past week or two, this is the last thing people need. This is the kind of news that has possum fans throwing themselves off bridges. They don’t take this kind of prank well.

There are still wife-beaters and booty shorts to be worn and nip wars to fight with Fish Lips 2.0 (Fish Lips 2.0 is winning the battle of the nips at this point). Our beloved possum is alive and well and I for one hope the bed-wetting hacker is caught.

The most recent message on her page says, “Britney’s Twitter was just hacked. The last message is obviously not true. She is fine and dandy spending a quiet day at home relaxing.”

Perez Hilton Twitters Alleged Assault By BEPs

Having noticed that Perez Hilton and Black Eyed Peas were two weirdo trending topics on Twitter, your friendly neighbourhood skank did some digging and found some deets on the entertainment beef.

The rumours of beef started when Hilton went into typical douche mode and ignored “the in case of emergency do not use Twitter” mantra (see Mashable for the pic).

The famous blogger used his Twitter to claim that head honcho of the BEPs, Will.I.Am, physically assaulted him after attending the 2009 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada on Sunday (June 21). Perhaps he was trying to get sympathy or just attention, but he was alleging to be live tweeting getting in contact with the emergency services and telling anyone that would listen that the front man and his security beat the crap outta him.

Let’s be clear that there is apparently no love lost between Hilton and his actual fan(s), as most Twitter searches I could find were very much in the vein of, “Yippers! The douche finally got an arse kicking!”

As a follow up to the accusations of assault, Tila Tequila used her official TwitPic to post messages allegedly from Will.I.Am saying that Hilton is a desperate bonehead for spreading the rumours. (Messages 1,2,3). She then used her official Twitter to message saying “If Perez DID get hit by a security guard or a “black guy” that does NOT mean WILL.I.AM did it! SO WRONG! Well at least We know the TRUTH NOW”. (via Twitter)

Tequila is now starting a new #unfollowperezhilton movement, as the guy has about quarter of a mil. followers too many, if this is the only thing he can find to tweet about.

Will.I.Am. has seemingly set up his own page, which Tequila is directing people to. At the moment there is not a lot on there, except for the video below as taken from DipDive. It shows the musician talking about his crazy night last night.
