Scarlett Johansson Used to be Hotter, Right?

Scarlett Johansson is clearly a beautiful girl, with an astonishing face and a slimmed down but still great figure. Sure, she’s lost some of her early famed Monroe curves. Sure, with that went her amazing boobs. Sure, she’s no longer a stunning blonde and now spends more time red-headed or as a mousy brunette. Where was I going with this? Heck if I know. But anyways, here are pictures of Johansson leaving a filming of the Late Show with David Letterman in NY.

She wore a flesh-coloured dress and shoes, which could have looked foxy without the frumpy and oddly-fitting coat. She wore her hair up, hideous retro shades and a predictable red lip. Not mad at her for it, but it’s not needed for this look.

More of her in the gallery, not looking any better and dressed like a character from Mad Men, posing in front of a car with a badly smashed up windscreen.

Scarlett Johansson Will Make Broadway Debut

FP_3263295_ENF_Johansson_Scarlett_071309

Scarlett Johansson is set to make her Broadway debut, later this year, in A View from the Bridge.

The 24-year-old actress will drag her newly deflated chesticles onto the stage, in a move that many of her peers are making too. Sienna Miller, Jude Law, Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig, and even Kim Cattrall are all on/ or headed to the stage at the moment. It’s the latest method they are all using to bamboozle people into thinking they have more talent than they do. Their belated right of passage onto the stage is like wearing a well-worn badge of honour. One that screams to the rest of the world that they’re a real actor type who has an emotional range, more than one facial expression, and can do accents and everything.

The star is headed for the stage, to perform in the play by American playwright Arthur Miller, beginning December 28. You have a 14-week window of opportunity to stare at Johansson in real life, in a way that probably won’t breach the restraining order.

Casting Photos from Before They Were Famous

Casting-Photos-Before-They-Were-Famous

Celebrity casting photos, from the 80′s to 00′s, before the stars made it in Hollywood.

Bonnie Timmerman, Hollywood casting director, features in Elle’s Women In Hollywood issue. In the magazine there are some of her early Polaroids of actors/ actresses, at the start of their careers.

The photos (via Jezebel) are pretty amazing, as are the surprisingly gushy notes that go alongside them. The pictures  show stars of varying ages, from their pre-teens to early 20′s, when they were doing their first movie roles. The pre-historic Polaroids in poor lighting show the following actors/ actresses and more; Uma Thurman, Laurence Fishburne, Jim Carrey, Adrien Brody, Jessica Alba, Adam Sandler, Halle Berry, Orlando Bloom, George Clooney, Jennifer Connelly, and Scarlett Johansson.

The image of a baby, pre-sessy face, Johansson is my favourite. She looks so cute and fresh, like a good little non-sociopath, non-stage kid. The top left image of Uma Therman is just beyond gorgeous. I’d totally rock that 90s look, glasses and all, right now. Proof, if it were needed, that the 80′s are back.

Scarlett Johansson on Weight Loss Rumours

FP_3263294_ENF_Johansson_Scarlett_071309

Scarlett Johansson has taken the rather peculiar step of battling against rumours about her weight loss. During her filming of the upcoming Iron Man sequel, Iron Man 2, there were rumours a-plenty about the rather large amounts of weight she was supposed to have shed, in order to play her controversial role as the Black Widow.

For the part, Johansson could be seen to have dyed her hair red and have lost her famed curves. She was a pale and rake-thin red-head, with notably absent T&A, where a baby Marilyn Monroe had once been.

Of course, people noticed and pined for her former figure. However, Johansson just whined and insisted that she found all the chatter about her weight rather ridiculous. That is, given that this is her first week in showbiz and she has no idea how this annoying rumour-mill thing works. Don’t worry, I shall pull her to one side and explain that rumours that don’t involve drug-abuse or murder are really nothing to get your panties in a twist over.

Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow Costume

Larger stills of Scarlett Johansson in her Black Widow costume from Iron Man 2 have been released.

The actress can be seen in her skin-tight black costume, crawling around on all fours; cos the makers of Iron Man 2 know that today’s sophisticated fan-boy demands more. The new redhead looks so different in her guise that several of her own fans on ONTD were adamant that the above was not even her. The images are now on EW, so I can assure you, the ScarJo sneaking on her foursies is the ScarJo we all know and love.

Though clearly not HQ, but you can see her costume better than in the early leaks.

Read more about her role in the movie or see an early still of Señor Downey Jr.

Scarlett Johansson Black Widow in Iron Man 2

The first images of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow in Iron Man 2 have been released, via a leak of a new Entertainment Weekly cover.

People have been waiting and drooling over this, since the first early stills of the movie came out in May (2009) and the movie’s director, Jon Favreau, told people on his official Twitter that the sight of Johansson in her Black Widow costume was enough to silence a studio full of people.

Friday’s issue of Entertainment Weekly is a full-on Comic Con preview and features our first look at Scarlett Johansson as Russian superspy Natasha Romanoff (aka the Black Widow) from Iron Man 2.

I’m sure we’ll have a high resolution scan of these tomorrow, but for now we’ll have to do with these screen-captures from Entertainment Tonight. I fixed them up the best I could in photoshop, but they’re still pretty questionable quality. The EW Cover features Robert Downey Jr in the suit, Mickey Rourke as Whiplash, and Johansson as Black Widow. (via Slash Film)

Per the above, this is clearly a grainy, early leak. When the clear HQ images come out on Friday (July 17, 2009), I’ll prolly post those too so you all can have a proper look.

Update: Higher quality pictures of the cover and of ScarJo in costume.
