Domestic Violence Group Chastises Chris Brown

Because ‘Abuse Mad-Libs’ only work when you’ve got someone with whom to play, the National Organization of Women have spoken out in reaction to Chris Brown’s odd choice of wording regarding his assault of Rihanna. I’m not going to rehash that whole set of quotes from Wednesday’s piece, nor am I going to republish his entire, tedious and pandering Page Six story that came out on Thursday (it doesn’t deviate in theme or context too much from the excerpts in Us Weekly and there’s nothing revelatory in there, which would usually compel me to give it its own write-up, so I’m just going to direct people to the full thing). Responding to his seeming unwillingness to admit wrongdoing/ apologise sincerely, and his comments which readers of this site noted were glib at best and dismissive at worst, Acting Vice President Erin Matson has spoken to RadarOnline.com. ‘To imply that it is something that can just be gotten over is just an insult against women across the country,’ said Matson. ‘It is very upsetting for Chris to think it is all about him. Whether we like it or not, celebrities get so much attention in our culture and with that attention comes responsibility. To see him backing away from his responsibility to speak out against intimate partner violence is horrifying.’ In reaction to the use of the word ‘mishap,’ as a euphemism for the assault two years ago, Matson responds, ‘It was not a mishap, this was a serious act of violence. No woman who has been assaulted would refer to it as a mishap, nor should anyone refer to it as such.’ She continues, putting it far more eloquently than I, ‘The far-reaching message to young people who get beaten up is, ‘Who cares?’ Domestic violence is often not reported and when you see people in the public eye trying to sweep it under the rug, it’s one more reason why victims struggle to come forward. There is a fear that if it’s reported it will become worse and this adds to that message.’

Chris Brown Calls Beating Up Rihanna A Mishap

Penis Lite ™ is giving interviews glossing over the fact there are now pictures of his d**k on the Internet. I mean, it’s like those pictures of his extra-lean junk didn’t just hit the Internet on Friday and like they weren’t obviously real and verified as so when his over-excitable lawyer, Penis Lite Esq. ™ demanded some of them taken down. Well, the 21-year-old has given an interview with Page Six, previewed in Us Weekly, in which he dances around the whole beating Rihanna unconscious thing. For the record, since people keep asking, I’m kind of over the arguing of the rights and wrongs of abuse against women and any violence against anyone in a relationship. KEEP YOUR DAMN HANDS TO YOURSELF, NO MATTER YOUR SEX. There. I know it was two years ago, but the leaking of the Rihanna abuse pictures and the leak of her ex-boyfriend’s d**k picture were this month. So, I’m going to talk about both. Speaking to the New York-based magazine, Penis Lite ™ calls the beating of Rihanna a ‘mishap’ and says he’s done apologising. It’s too rage-inducing and stupid to break down like I usually do, so here’s the stupid in one big turdy lump, s**t out in the manner it was said.

Photo of Chris Brown’s Injury Following Assault

As posted by MediaTakeOut.com, following the release of last week’s Rihanna assault photos from 2009. I did not, nor will I, post the three photos of Rihanna’s injuries. I have no qualms about posting this. It shows a scratch on Chris Brown’s lip; his injury following the fight with Rihanna where her face ended up like this.

For those who spent the last week saying ‘Rihanna deserved it,’ and ‘her injuries weren’t even that bad’ (real quotes), I present to you Brown’s bulls**t non-injury.

Chris Brown Reacts To Rihanna Abuse Pictures

I wasn’t going to address this, as I don’t really care about either of the people concerned, anymore. I don’t like to endorse people with such exceptionally crappy behaviours as woman-beating and I’m over Rihanna. However, there was one part of this I wanted to highlight for those who would have otherwise missed it. So, I’m going to gloss over this, as matter-of-factly as I can stomach, without posting the abuse photos, and we can all move on with our lives. Earlier today, a second and third photo were leaked which showed the extent of Rihanna’s injuries after being assaulted by Chris Brown. I’m NOT posting those; not least because the site that posted them seemed to think lips had bones in them. They’re here, for those who insist on looking. The two images, from 2009, were released by MediaFakeOut.com and re-posted to a bunch of places including TMZ.com. Rihanna looks to be sitting in a hospital room with her face smashed in one photo. The second shows a close-up of the damage done to her mouth. Only days ago was the restraining order against Brown, after his slap on the wrist ‘punishment’, lifted. Rihanna seemed more than fine with this after moving on and encouraging fans to do the same. There’s no reaction from Rihanna’s team yet. However, Chris Brown has reacted. On Twitter. And then deleted his tweets because nobody on the Internet has MS Paint or knows how to save a screen cap. In at least two messages, which he later deleted, not that I’m going to check, Brown made the leaking of these photos about him. Call a WAAAAAmbulance! ‘The Devil is always busy. But when u have a destiny, nothing or no one can stop what god has planned,’ wrote Brown, who is evidently still lacking any insight. Adding, ‘It’s ironic how ‘somebody’ put this out right around my album time. Wow. I guess that’s supposed to be a strategic chess move. Unbelievable.’ Unbelievable, Brown? Really? I was just thinking the same about your bellyaching.

Rihanna & Ryan Phillippe Hooking Up All Along?

I’m always amused by the lies that surface around the middle of the week. They’re always so much more imaginative that the lies that come before and after. It’s as if every tabloid office has some kind of pool going to see who can top last week’s humpday lies. And this week, Us Weekly has outdone itself. I read this story earlier and only now have come off the ledge long enough to write about it. It was headache-inducing. And so, in the spirit of giving that means I’m now out of crack altogether, I’m sharing this nonsense. Us Weekly is reporting that Rihanna, 23, and Ryan Phillippe, 36, who just broke up with Amanda Seyfried, are hooking up. It’s their comeback from last week’s mess of an article; a piece Seyfried was quick to dismiss when asked about rumours of Phillippe and Rihanna flirting. They’re hammering this story to death, by claiming, with nothing but the say of a nonsense source that, ‘Clearly they’re keeping it on the downlow.’ Which explains why no one else is running with this. Got it? And, adds another source, who reads like they’re about 14, ‘She thinks he’s hot.’ Adding, ‘They totally had sex. And it wasn’t even the first time.’

Did Kanye West Rip-Off All Of The Lights Video?

Watch Kanye West All Of The Lights music video featuring Rihanna and Kid Cudi.

Kanye West released his All Of The Lights music video at the end of last week, but I was entirely too distracted by the Britney Spears Hold It Against Me video to notice. Along with potential legal news about this video from the weekend, I’m posting this now rather than overlooking it altogether. It’s being alleged by some, who noticed the similarities, that sections of the above video rip-off the opening sequence of the 2010 film Enter the Void, directed by Gaspar Noe. That intro is below for comparison. All Of The Lights is one song on West’s album I kept skipping initially because its introduction is annoying. Then, once it got going, the vocal from Rihanna grated my nerves. Only recently did I hear it all the way through, and the beat was pretty good, if nothing else. The video features Rihanna and Kid Cudi (I’m not ashamed to admit I have no idea who Cudi is). There are stills from the video below, because there are some interesting visuals in the opening section before we move on to the seconds and seconds of gratuitous cuts and shots of Rihanna’s almost bare breasts. Seriously, as a straight girl I couldn’t look at her face, she was showing that much front/ side/ under-boob. She covered her areola with inches-wide material and called it a day. It’s even less covered than the neckerchief-as-a-shirt I wear to buy groceries. It’s obscene. OBSCENE, I tell you. It’s so obscene I capped the heck out of it.
