The FBI has confirmed its involvement in investigating the hacking of Scarlett Johansson and other celebrities. The photos that are being shared today are the same ones I saw on a message board in March. Johansson phoned the FBI this morning because apparently she’s new to the Internet and she has no idea these have been shared for over six months. FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller confirmed their involvement in the case of celebrities taking pictures of their T&A and then feigning shock when they leak. Reads a statement: ‘The FBI confirms we are investigating computer intrusions of high profile figures… People are asking what we mean by ‘computer’ intrusions. This might be too traditional a term at this point, but, by computer we mean any computer, laptop, phone or other device on which personal information can be accessed online.’ Becoming indignant, she adds, ‘We’re also getting questions about whether the FBI has anything better to do than worry about celebrities. That is answered with: The nature of work in which the victim engages is irrelevant when a federal violation is reported.’
Incidentally, I’ve been online most of the day and Internet Detectives have looked at the EXIF data for Johansson’s pictures. The cell was a BlackBerry 9000, which seems to match the photos. The photos were taken on the same phone. The last edit date is 11 months ago. Her hideous wrist tattoo matches. The room’s wallpaper seems to match that of her house, as does the room’s layout.
