Britney Spears Till The World Ends Sneak Peek

Because she found releasing a music video five seconds at a time as annoying as we did watching the clips, Britney Spears has gone a little easier on the promotion for her second single from Femme Fatale. Building up to this music video release, Spears did a Vegas show and a Good Morning America performance. She also went on Jimmy Kimmel Live and phoned in that badly-staged skit with a stunt-double, where she wasn’t in the potty for that poo cocktail thing (I mean, really, did people buy such a poorly-edited stunt and think it was her getting splashed with… water?) This week’s airing of I Am The Femme Fatale, an MTV documentary, was also uneventful and contained nothing but shots of Spears being flanked by bodyguards to walk from one side of a room to the other as she lethargically croaked rehearsed answers to softball questions. It’s not much of a build up, but the documentary did give seconds of sneak peeks into the Till The World Ends video. Below is its 30-second preview. It’s underwhelming, but gives an idea of the amount of editing it takes to make Spears look like she’s moving without strings. In news that will excite no one who realises this means there’ll be a slightly different mix of cuts and nothing more, it’s reported this will have two videos; the director’s cut and Spears’ own cut.

Britney Spears Performs Surprise Vegas Show

Britney Spears performed a ‘surprise’ show in Las Vegas. The 29-year-old, who recently streamed her entire album for free for those who wanted to legally preview the entire thing, performed to more than 1,000 people at a mini-concert at the Palms Casino Resort’s Rain Nightclub stage, Las Vegas, on Friday night.

The crowd were probably most surprised by how lethargic the performance was; Spears has never had the ability to sing and dance live, like the likes of Beyonce, but at least she used to do more than two-step. As TMZ.com points out, this show seemed to contain little more than sitting on and walking around props. There’s video at TMZ (it won’t embed, you’ll need to click to watch). The show precedes the Tuesday-release of Spears’ album and also precedes a March 29 visit to Jimmy Kimmel and GMA. The Vegas set included three songs, Hold It Against Me, Big Fat Bass and Till The World Ends, with breaks for costume changes, in which time Jersey Shore’s Pauly D, the DJ, yes really, entertained the crowd. People.com notes ‘Spears did little talking to the crowd,’ aside from intermittently checking whether the same were having a good night and reminding them where they were. The singer’s boyfriend, Jason Trawick, and her father, Jamie Spears, watched from the nightclub’s VIP area, in her first public performance since her Circus Tour in 2009. GMA had excitedly been touting her performance with them as exclusive and a big deal but, after this, it’s really not any more. The Vegas show wasn’t a complete surprise. After rumours began circulating, yesterday, Spears wrote on her Twitter page, ‘Looks like my little secret isn’t a secret anymore… You’re all invited. Be there or be square b****.’

Britney Spears Till The World Ends Video Shoot

Britney Spears has begun shooting the music video to her next single, Till The World Ends from her Femme Fatale album. It’s worth noting this is fairly obviously one of the weakest tracks on the already-leaked album, in my opinion anyway (Inside Out or Big Fat Bass should have been second, leading with something distinct where TTWE is quite samey). The Till The World Ends track is below, so you can judge for yourself. This behind-the-scenes preview of what Spears will be wearing in the video is a little underwhelming. But then her previews usually are. It’s her sweating off-set about which she tweeted, ‘Day 1 of the #TTWE Videoshoot. Just wrapped my first big dance number. Taking a well deserved break people.’ She’s taking a ‘break’ from the lackluster two-stepping that still needs to be hidden with fast edits like in the Hold It Against Me video (fast edits are to dance what autotune is to a thin voice; it hides the worst, but there’s no real disguising it). My guess is there will be more previews to come. She released 13 five-second snippets of the HIAM music video before its release.

Britney Spears Big Fat Bass Extended Preview

Below is an extended preview of Big Fat Bass by Britney Spears featuring Will.I.Am. As I mentioned in the previous post about the release of Spears’ album snippets (which seems to be auto-updating as new songs are released to the singer’s SoundCloud account, so be sure to bookmark and come back to that page), I misread the title of the song the first time I saw it. I totally skim-read the title as ‘Big Fat Ass,’ and, apparently, no amount of time will affect my ability to correctly skim the word ‘Bass.’ This is always going to be that song about ‘Big Fat Asses’ to me. At least it’s a grower. This newly-released snippet, longer than the first, is noticeably lighter on Will.I.Am. It’s also not as good.

Kim Kardashian Jam (Turn It Up) Video Preview

Kim Kardashian has given a preview of the music video for Jam, the sub-Paris Hilton/ sub-Jennifer Lopez track on which she ‘sings’ as though she’s trying not to choke on half-masticated food. The below images are previews of the Jam music video and her last day in the recording studio that were posted to her blog. They show a few of the music video’s set-ups, including ones shown weeks ago of her with braids and another in a string bikini. I have no idea where she’s going with this music video. From what I can tell, it’s going to be somewhere in between the remixed and un-remixed videos for Get Right by Jennifer Lopez, the former featuring Fabolous. What Lopez lacks in vocals (a lot), she at least makes up for with entertaining videos. Kardashian seems to be doing the same; being Photoshopped beyond recognition for the single cover and made-up like a budget drag queen (not wanting to insult actual queens who’d never wear that much).

Listen To Kim Kardashian Song Jam (Turn It Up)

Kim Kardashian’s farts are barely a whisper as she holds in her gas and coughs all the way through this joke of a single. Well, I’m hearing a mix of stifled farts and a gagged Kardashian. She ‘sings’ like she has socks in her mouth. This was released today on Ryan Seacrest and is the latest single from the 30-year-old. Despite the fact she previously claimed she would record one song only, not an album’s worth of material. I guess that was a lie too (she’s pretty pathological, it’s hard to keep track). The song’s called Jam (Turn It Up), and is a sub-Paris Hilton club track with shallow lyrics that borrow from the likes of Rihanna’s Pon De Replay, asking the DJ to turn the music up. The single cover, above, looks pretty much like her; though with quite that much hair in the way it’s hard to tell. The woman’s hair’s fried like last night’s chicken and it’s about four different colours. Also, there’s something about her post-Photoshop bone structure that makes her not even look like a member of her own family. At she least doesn’t look sub-Jennifer Lopez. It’s all Botox Face of DOOM, all the time.
