Rihanna is Subtle While Straddling this Tank

Ever since the Good Girl Gone Bad album, Rihanna’s sexuality has been about as subtle as a slap in the face. The singer has spent her last few music videos in assorted states of undress, and grinding on oiled-up male dancers performing the same songs on stage. I’m pretty sure she’s copying me; while blogging, like, right now, I’m scantily-clad and straddling a backing dancer. I don’t happen to need backing dancers, naked or otherwise, really, but it adds to the overall affect. Y’alls can tell that my blogging improves drastically when I’m surrounded by greasy men, right? That’s what I thought… so they’re staying. Pictures show Alien Princess Riri being subtle and riding assorted props on stage performing on the second leg of her UK tour at The Liverpool Echo Arena on Saturday, 8th May 2010. Some of the pictures show her with a lucky fan on stage, as she performs.

Kylie Minogue Shoots New Music Video Photos

It’s been a while coming, as the singer has been keeping a low profile and still looking after her health after beating cancer, but Kylie Minogue is making another comeback. Minogue is becoming a little like Cher, so far as it being too hard to keep track of all her comebacks. My grade school-only education is showing again. If I were to make up the number of comebacks I would say #12,982, but then I’d be frontin’ as I totally can’t count above 10 (it’s too hard to count if I can’t use my fingers). Lady Gaga American Idol Performance Unedited

Lady Gaga has taken to her Twitter, to clarify some confusion about her performance on American Idol May 5, 2010. The singer gave a highly-anticipated performance, on American Idol, this week, only for the show to have to chop out a near two minutes of the songs in the edit. Gaga pre-taped her songs Alejandro and Bad Romance and ran at about six-and-a-half minutes. That’s long enough for a short porno flick, or a mini-movie, or something. It’s a whole lot of time, doing little but guzzle up airtime (and not get anyone off). So Fox snipped that bish to a more manageable time of just under five minutes. The bits you’ll have missed out on from the broadcast included something to do with lube, strap-ons and setting the stage on fire (I’m guessing, as I can’t be bothered to watch six-and-a-half porn-free minutes). The poor man’s Pussycat Dolls have released a new music video after a hiatus that saw one of the members get a bunch of tattoos, score a drug possession and distribution wrap, and gain a noticeable amount of weight. I’m not going to bash the girls for being about half as striking as they were in their earlier videos. I am going to laugh my ass off at all the hair flicking in the video. In lieu of anything I recognise as dancing or performing, there’s a whole lot of flicking-your-hair-in-time-with-the-music-wheeeee. It’s not to my taste at all, what do y’all think?

Miley Cyrus has proven that every year that goes by she gets more creative and arty. She proves this by slathering on ever-more-impressive amounts of black eyeshadow. Black eyeshadow is the new crack pipe, you’re not a serious artist without it. As well as the eye make-up and crazy hair, we are treated to a raunchier Cyrus than we’ve ever seen before. Did I say “raunchier”… I clearly meant “sluttier”. She’s slutting it up like she’s studying from the Christina Aguilera Cliffs Notes on How To Make Progressively Worse Music Videos. Feel free to turn down the volume, while you watch this, as it’ll make no difference… but here’s the world premiere of Miley Cyrus’ music video for Can’t Be Tamed.

Beyonce’s new video features her giving up on the Bettie Page impressions, climbing into a time machine, and actually travelling to the 1950s. Super fun. It’s good to see she just went all out, after teasing us with the same styling in the Telephone video. The song, Why Don’t You Love Me, a bonus track from I Am… Sasha Fierce, was written by BeyBey Page and sister Solo Orange. The singer took time off from her holidays to record this video, the preview to which premiered only yesterday. She had announced on her Vimeo account that the full video was to follow, and here it is. So good of her to premiere it on Vimeo, and not on King of Geo-tardation, VEVO. This means that hopefully fans all over the globe will be able to watch it, without getting c-ckblocked by arbitrary country restrictions.
