Original Recipe Spider-Man (thanks, Sue Sylvester) and The Amazing Spider-Man interview each other for VMAN Magazine as the reboot’s promotional trail heats up. This is adorable, the ‘old’ Spider-Man (from 2002!) Tobey Maguire was drafted by the magazine to shoot the fanboy s**t about the new movie with Andrew Garfield. Making it clear he’s not butthurt, Maguire gushed: ‘I was certainly curious as to who was going to play Peter Parker. When I heard it was you, I was literally like, ‘[Bleeping] perfect!’ I just want it to be great, and I thought, ‘What a great actor Andrew is. I’m glad that’s what’s happening here.” Maguire continued about how the earlier movies changed his life, ‘So much shifted in my life the weekend the movie came out.’ But Garfield is prepared: ‘I just feel such a great responsibility to the story and to the fans, because I know in my heart how much this character means to people, because it means that much to me. I feel a great wave of reassurance after hearing everything you’ve said.’ Asked about the casting, Garfield knew a bunch of the guys auditioning, awkward, he says: ‘I’m friends with a few of the guys who were up for it. We compared notes and war stories, and we kind of got past the ridiculousness of it all… Knowing that when you take off that bodysuit someone else is going to be stepping into your sweat immediately after. It’s a weird kind of cattle call.’

Robert Pattinson Talks Twilight Acting: ‘I Tried’
Robert Pattinson is on the promotional trail for something post-Twilight which is probably why I’d not heard of David Cronenberg’s movie Cosmopolis until about 10-minutes ago (I know, I know). But Pattinson’s shilling, and of course the franchise is brought up as the benchmark for his acting skills. To which he takes umbrage, because he ‘tried’ with what he was given. Told by Premiere he was good in the Twilight movies, he responded: ‘In some scenes maybe. I tried anyway.’ Asked about people’s surprised he’s not terrible in Cosmopolis, he replied: ‘I’d like to ask a question to those people who think I just started acting well: What do you think I was doing in Twilight? Do they think it’s how I act naturally? No, I had to take decisions as an actor. I find it funny when I read stuff like ’Will Cosmopolis finally prove that he can act?’ What does that even mean?’
Below is Pattinson’s Premiere Magazine shoot dedicate to Cronenberg’s movies.
Tom Cruise Covers W Magazine As Stacee Jaxx
Tom Cruise covers W Magazine June 2012. We’re skipping the pretense about magazine covers and instead posing people in full costume. Portending the copy and pasting of actual movie posters so celebrities can stop showing up for shoots altogether. With a look of ennui that says ‘I just got my pubes the way I like them and she’s MESSING THEM UP,’ here’s the 49-year-old as Stacee Jaxx.

Miley Cyrus Is ‘Proud’ Of Box Office Flop LOL
Like I said already, The Avengers made all the money so there was only small bills and loose change left to be spent on Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore’s latest movie, LOL. Which Cyrus knows flopped, apparently, because she’s already pretending on Twitter that she’s not pressed about its failure writing: ‘Thank u so much for everyone who went to see LOL. It is a film I loved making and I am proud of…. That’s really all that matters to me.’ It’s a good thing she doesn’t care whether anyone saw it, because no one did. The movie had a limited release at 105 theaters domestically (compared to 4,137 theaters for The Hunger Games, 4,349 theaters for The Avengers, and 683 theaters Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour). Although LOL was an all around under-performer, earning an estimated $46,500 opening weekend. Blaming the virtually non-existent promotional tour and negligible advertising effort, box office analyst Len Klady opines: ‘My guess is Lionsgate had test screenings that were catastrophic. Miley Cyrus has a real image problem. Basically she’s been undone by SNL… people don’t take her seriously.’ Cyrus may return to TV, with X Factor.
The Avengers Made $200 Million This Weekend
The Avengers made all the monies at the box office this weekend, thanks to Black Widow’s reluctant jiggle, Iron Man’s quips, Thor’s weave, Captain America’s helmet, Loki’s bone structure, Hawkeye going sleeveless, and Hulk SMASH. I just watched the movie this weekend, and it’s a good thing. It’s exactly what you’d expect, since the trailers and shooting on open sets gave the game away. There were really no surprises at all. But it was still good. It looked good, and it was paced pretty well (by the time you got bored, it moved onto something else). It’s a no-brainer. And apparently everyone else agrees because everyone saw it, breaking box office records. It didn’t break the record for opening day, Friday, that still belongs to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two. But its opening weekend is the highest ever, taking $200.3 million, beating last Summer’s record of $169.2 million set by Deathly Hallows: Part Two. The Avengers is the fastest ever movie to reach $200 million, and it set Saturday and Sunday records. The superhero movie has taken over $330 million international, and it’ll end on $500 million domestic according to estimates.
LOVELACE Is Amanda Seyfried In A Cheap Wig
Here’s Amanda Seyfried in the role of Linda Lovelace for Lovelace, not to be confused with Inferno which is a tandem biopic about the same person in a project nearly tanked by Lindsay Lohan’s crack hijinks back in 2009. Here’s the first poster for Lovelace, with Seyfried trying too hard to look sexy; the arched back, hands on hips, the lips slightly ajar, the willing jiggle. Pretty, not sexy.
