The person who hacked into Miley Cyrus’ email back in 2008, Josh ‘Trainreq’ Holly, has been arrested on unrelated charges. The 21-year-old, oddly, was never charged for gaining unauthorised access to Cyrus’ personal accounts and pictures despite their content and her being around 16-years-old at the time. If you’ll recall the bygone era before Amy Grindhouse was in your Internets mocking your faps, pictures of a half-naked Cyrus were accessed and spread online; heavily tagged. They showed the singer pulling assorted duck faces, and the now-popular blow job face, while pulling her shirts up/ down or that weird one where she’s in the shower in a white shirt, with the water on. He ‘does not face charges relating to Cyrus, but the intrusion into her account was used by agents to obtain permission to search his seized computer equipment.’ According to court documents, say Access Hollywood, ‘Holly, 21, was arrested Thursday in Nashville and charged with possession of [200 unauthorised] credit card account numbers] after FBI agents reviewed evidence obtained when they searched his computer.’
They add, ‘In an FBI affidavit filed with the U.S. District Court in Nashville, Agent Victor Rodriguez writes that Holly acknowledged hacking into Cyrus’ MySpace account. Court documents also said he bragged online and to the media about obtaining photos of Cyrus from her Gmail account in late 2007 and later posting them on a site frequented by hackers.’ He also admitted it was part of a wider deal, to gain access to well-trafficked celebrity accounts, with a spam company who paid Holly $110,000 between Nov. 2007 and July 2008. Holly has been released on his own recognizance. His preliminary hearing’s set for Jan. 12.
