Madonna premiered W.E. in London this afternoon, following its TIFF and NYC screenings. The film feels old already, since it’s been such a long time coming. But it’s only just getting a real premiere now. Okay, the outfit. I’m going to assume this is supposed to be an invisibility cape, because Madonna is ashamed of her work. Is this the Emperor’s New Clothes? Since the cape’s faulty, let’s comment. Madonna’s wearing what appears to be a Jean Paul Gaultier velvet (?) dress with red fingerless gloves and a Dolce & Gabbana lace cape. Lace. Cape. Is that a thing now? And she wore gloves to cover her ‘roid veins because the ageing on her hands is worsening. That has to be why. I don’t know why else you’d go for such fruity accoutrements. Madonna is still trying to make W.E. happen. W.E. was the movie she promoted with screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival, during which time she hurt the feelings of flowers and special snowflakes everywhere. So, here are eight photos of Madonna’s 7.0 face and ‘This’ll do,’ black-on-black Roberto Cavalli at another screening, hosted by The Cinema Society, The Weinstein Company, and Piaget, held at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC December 4.

Madonna spent the whole of last week being catty to Lady Caca and barring that she was left being mean to inanimate objects when a reporter handed her a bunch of flowers of which she did not approve. Asked WTF Madonna’s problem was with hydrangeas, Madonna’s ridiculous rep Liz Rosenberg strung the following ludicrous passive-aggressive words into a full statement: ‘The hydrangea incident is so ridiculous… It’s not like she said she hated warm chocolate chip cookies and milk and little puppies! She’s entitled to like any flower she wants and she didn’t want to hurt the feeling of the hydrangeas of the world. No disrespect to the hydrangeas lovers of the world but she prefers different types of flowers.’ That was the real statement. I wish I were paraphrasing for LULZ, but I’m not. Someone who’s paid to represent Madonna obviously has to be as aggressive and that’s what CNN and others got in reply. And NOW… there’s the above as posted to her YouTube. Another faux-pology in which she says she still hates hydrangeas.
