Lily Cooper Welcomed A Healthy Mini Cooper

I posted this on my FB on the weekend, but it bears repeating. Lily Allen became a mother on Friday, according to several reports; all of which came from Twitter and the UK’s The Daily Mail. I didn’t feel comfortable reporting it right away, since she suffered a miscarriage in 2008 and then suffered a stillbirth last year at six-months pregnant. Moreover, it was two ‘friends’ on Twitter who appear to have broken the news against her wishes. Which is obnoxious. She hasn’t tweeted about it yet. But two friends of her have. Friend Sam Chew tweeted: ‘sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper…… YES’ and friend Charlie Condou tweeted that they had a girl. Her rep’s not confirming yet. And nor are the mother or father. But there’s no denial or bad news either, so we can assume for now all concerned are healthy and it’s great news after multiple, tragic losses.

I’ve been avoiding news of Lily Allen and her third pregnancy for obvious reasons. It’s the same reason I’ve been light on news about Kelly Brook, it feels… icky to keep following them. But news is slow coming out of the weekend and Allen shared this on Twitter. So it’s not like I went looking for it. Well, here’s the singer in a Twitter picture captioned: ‘Me, bump and pumpkin, i did it last night during xfactor,’ with a pumpkin carving she admits she completed with a stencil.

Explaining that model and musician friends would stay thin by taking drugs or simply starving themselves, Lily Allen tells Elle UK August 2011 how she would try to compete. There’s more from her interview below along with more photos from her shoot. I’m pretty sure Allen’s decided not to be famous anymore, but the newly-married expectant mother’s willing to shill for her store and clothing label.

Lily Allen Pregnancy Revealed On Wedding Day

Lily Allen is pregnant again, as her husband confirmed to guests during Saturday’s wedding reception. Allen married Sam Cooper this weekend, after a wedding rehearsal on Friday. The couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement, an ‘unromantic agreement,’ despite the former singer being worth nearly $10 million. There were photos of Allen in her custom-designed gown, but no obvious signs that she was with child. To the surprise of guests on her wedding day, she confirmed she’s expecting a baby. This is pretty big news for several reasons. Not least that she has miscarried twice now and so there are probably risks to her having this baby to term too. Who knows, I hope she’s fine and she and the baby remain healthy through this pregnancy. Revealing that she is at least 12 weeks pregnant and therefore outside of her first trimester, this news comes less than a year after her last miscarriage. In November, she miscarried at six-months pregnant with her son. The wedding gown’s French designer, Delphine Manivet, said of the news, ‘It’s beautiful that she is pregnant, and I am very happy for her. You can see, of course, the little stomach; it looked very cute with the dress.’

Lily Allen got married today, in a ceremony we all saw coming when a newspaper leaked her wedding date. Her wedding rehearsal was photographed yesterday.

Allen, 26, threw a strop on Twitter back in March, after one of her invited guests, a member of her friends or family, sold their save-the-date card to a newspaper; revealing the date to be June 11 and the location to be in the village of Cranham in Gloucestershire, England. Allen pleaded with the traitor, after yelling at the journalist, ‘Oh and whoever leaked my wedding invite to the press, you’re a [expletive] and your[sic] not invited anymore, have some respect and stay at home.’ The wedding took place on the expected date and the weather held out even after thunder and rain storms here late yesterday. Below are more pictures of Allen and her husband, Sam Cooper, and wedding guests at Saint James The Great Church. You can also see Allen’s vintage-inspired wedding dress by French designer Delphine Manivet. Allen carried white roses during the ceremony and she was given away by actor/ musician father Keith Allen. With fans waiting at the much-reported location, the bride and groom obliged to pose for them, before getting into their vintage Bentley. Cooper proposed in December, the news of which was also leaked to a newspaper. Allen shared her ring on Twitter.

Keith Allen Made A Princess Diana Documentary

Keith Allen, father of former singer Lily, has made the world’s most random documentary about Princess Diana who died in 1997 aged only 36 (she would have been 50 this year). It’s not like this is especially timely as subject matter and releasing a conspiracy theory feels like deplorable piggybacking on the wedding of her son, 14 years later. Allen will be debuting his original work, entitled Unlawful Killing, at Cannes in France. With the financial backing of Mohamed Al-Fayed, the father of Diana’s boyfriend Dodi, who also died in the car crash, the piece is said to focus on the alleged royal and government-supported cover ups. Here’s the kicker, this will reportedly be the first and only time the Princess Diana death photos will be shown; she was reportedly dying after the car crash in Paris while the paparazzi kept taking pictures. There’s an unauthorised preview of Unlawful Killing below which does not feature that photo (I won’t be posting that). Also below is Allen talking about the documentary with Piers Morgan.
