All We Hear Is Radio Gaga

Crowned X-Factor TV show winner, Alexandra Burke, was expected to stay in the top spot in the UK charts this week  - however the star has been knocked off the Number 1 position by US act, Lady Gaga [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

The 22-year-old New Yorker, Gaga, outsold the number two single by more than three-quarters, with her debut ‘Just Dance’. She knocked X Factor winner Burke off the top of the charts, where had she spent three weeks with her version of Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’.

When asked how she felt about Burke, a TV contestant, Gaga sharpened her claws and said, “If you win a TV show and you have a hit record, you sort of have a false understanding of what it means to earn success. The shows are set up for a winner, for someone to win. Whereas with someone like me, who writes my own songs, you have to set yourself up to win.”  Translated that means, “PNasty has called me the new Madonna and I can out-dress Katy Perry in my famous Fortress of Solitude dress. No one can touch me biatch!”

Gaga showed my fellow UK peeps some love by saying:  ”It’s been a long running dream to have a big hit in the UK – my fans there are so sexy and the people are so innovative and free in how they think about pop culture and music. I was in my apartment in Los Angeles getting ready to go to dance rehearsal when they called and told me, and I just cried.”

For some reason, hearing this news I now have the hot biatches from Queen and ‘Radio Ga Ga’ in my head, so I thought I’d share the love. Long live Gaga and her stranglehold on the charts, Freddy Mercury would be proud.

Lady Gaga Wants To Work With Christina

Lady Gaga is a woman of style, originality and class and yet, she still willingly compares herself to my favourite tranny clown, Christina Aguilera [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

Could the world be any more confusing?

Even when not in a Christmas-cheer-induced fit of delirium, I can barely tell the pop stylings of 22-year-old Lady Gaga apart from that of her doppelganger, 28-year-old Chrissy. Can we start making these people wear name tags please? I don’t really appreciate having to try to work out which pop star is which, when I am heckling their latest attempts at a music video, on YouPoop.

Gaga has opened herself up to finger-pointing and possibly time in the stocks, for admitting that she had been listening to Chrissy since she “was a little girl” and that she “would so love to work with her” because she thinks “she’s amazing”.

The 22-year-old with a shock of platinum-blonde hair also draws comparisons to pop diva Christina Aguilera. Last month, Aguilera was even asked if she had stolen Germanotta’s style.

“My performances and music are intended to be provocative, to push sexual boundaries. If anything, I was excited that she (Aguilera) picked up on that undertone in my work.” She added, “I would so love to work with her. I think she’s amazing. I listened to her when I was a little girl.”

Lady Gaga’s Top Artists Of 2008

Lady_Gaga_Z100_licensed_to_amygrindhousedotcom_SPL67508_010

Lady Gaga has revealed in an interview with MTV who her favourite artists of 2008 were [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

“I’m a huge fan of Kanye West’s record. … When he first came out this year with ‘Love Lockdown,’ I wasn’t really sure, and I listened to it and said, ‘Gosh, he’s really going in a different direction.’ But it’s very kind of Phil Collins futuristic, and the deeper and deeper I got into the album, the more brilliant I thought it was. ‘Coldest Winter’ — I cried for hours when I heard that song. I’ve been listening to it on repeat. I really, really love Crystal Castles. Grace Jones, ‘Corporate Cannibal.’ Katy Perry, ‘I Kissed a Girl’ — who doesn’t love that song?”

“My favorite album of 2008 would have to be Estelle’s Shine. She’s one of my favorite artists. Yelle is probably my favorite artist this year. She’s French, and it’s kind of a bit avant-garde, but it’s fun. I loved the Lenka album too. Oh, and the John Legend album! Oh, so good! My favorite song of this year … I like that ‘Come Over’ song Estelle did with Sean Paul.”

I’ll leave it to you to decide whether you trust the word of someone who goes by a name that ryhmes with Caca, dresses like Superman’s Fortress of Solitude and publicly admits to liking CAPTAIN CAPS, KANYE!
