Overnight, there were hoax rumours that Kanye West had died in a car accident.

For the most part, the rumours/ trending topic on Twitter of RIP Kanye West spread from people sharing links without looking into the story first. The rumour, started as a prank by serial-time-wasters 4 Chan, didn’t meet much resistance as West has antagonised so many people this year.

His girlfriend Amber Rose was the person to start a conflicting Twitter trend saying that West was still alive. The model tweeted the above to her over 108,300 followers, not that it helped. It did become a trending topic in its own right. However, this morning there are still rumours that West was killed.

Wishful thinking won’t get you anywhere. The West rumours are a total hoax.

Kanye West is the star of a Spike Jonze short film, We Were Once A Fairytale.

In the 11-minute short the rapper, who only a few weeks ago made a fool of himself at the MTV Awards, can be seen acting like a drunk fool.

The mini-movie is all kinds of surreal and is kind of like an LSD-laced night on the town. West can be seen slurring his words and acting like a buffoon. He knocks things over and yells at the pretty wait-staff about not getting special treatment. He then goes on to dance like your crack-addicted uncle at a family wedding and he ends up committing suicide and pulling a furry animal out of his stomach. Then animal then does the same.

This video is so been-there-done-that. Any heroin addict worth their salt has had a trip like this once in their lives. This mess is nothing new. Seen it all before.

The much-hyped Fame Kills tour, which was set to be a joint effort between Kanye West and Lady GaGa, has officially been cancelled.

Live Nation, the tour promoter, today announced that the tour was officially dead in the water, much to the disappointment of excited fans. No official reason has yet been given as to why. However, the backlash over West at the VMAs and his legal woes won’t have helped. Fans can get their tickets refunded automatically if they were purchased online or over the phone. Tickets bought other ways will need to be refunded at the point of purchase.

This was set to be one of the most mind-melting, controversial, and exciting tours in a long time. It was going to have all the arty-farty pomp and circumstance we have come to expect from Lady GaGa, plus the stunning visuals we’re used to from Kanye West after his Glow in the Dark tour. I can’t believe that I have to miss out on blogging about this. It was going to be super fun getting to share with everyone that West ran onstage during GaGa’s portion of the show to say that she deserved not to be onstage because, in his opinion, such-and-such an artist is actually more talented.

I’m going to go and drown my sorrows in some over-sugared Kool-Aid, and then I shall have a lukewarm Pot Noodle.You’ll have to do without me for a few hours.

Lady GaGa has gotten her little GaGas out again. However, this time it’s for a reason and she’s not just arbitrarily airing them out while at the airport or something. The singer goes topless for a racy new promotional video entitled Fame Kills, named after the joint tour between her and Kanye West. As such West posted the footage to his Vimeo account for his uninterested fans to look at. Slightly saggy bubes are rather a hoot to look at aren’t they.

While speaking to Leno, West gave his second apology for the Taylor Swift VMA incident within 24 hours.

This time he got it right and sounded more sincere rather than blogging in all CAPS as he did with his first attempt. West was the one who appeared emotional and shaken this time around, as he expressed regret for having humiliated and taken a moment away from a 19-year-old girl who had just won her first VMA.

He also talked about taking a break after this controversy, saying: “It was rude, period. So many celebrities, they never take the time off. I’ve never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour. I’m just ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt. My dream of what awards shows are supposed to be, ’cause, and I don’t try to justify it because I was just in the wrong. That’s period. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve.”

Although Kanye was set to perform, he asked for some air time to talk. During the interview, he said it was, “extremely difficult to deal with the fact that I hurt someone and took something away from a talented artist.” (via Just Jared)

There were red faces all around tonight regarding President Obama’s remark on the Kanye West VMA outburst.

Just about everyone and their mother has commented on the incident. West ascended to the VMA stage out of turn and snatched a microphone out of Taylor Swift’s hands. He said he thought Beyonce should have won with Single Ladies instead. It was an idiotic outburst and West has now apologised twice.

President Obama is said to have spoken about the VMAs during an interview, on Monday, with CNBC. It was there, while off the record, that President Obama is said to have called West a jackass over his raucous behaviour at the music awards. ABC News anchor Terry Moran posted and then removed a note saying as much to his 1,064,071 followers on Twitter.

TMZ got a major exclusive this afternoon. The news website, known for its ability to scoop others, posted on their site the audio clip of when President Obama called Kanye West a jackass over his conduct at the VMAs.

If you had doubts as to whether or not it really happened, well, now there’s audio. TMZ has once again managed to get the exclusive, posting the audio clip on their blog this afternoon. Although Obama clearly uses the term, the clip does put it into some context, as the conversation started with the reporter asking if the President’s daughters were as upset as his were over the Kanye West/Taylor Swift incident. Following all of the controversy on Sunday, after Kanye West interruped and ruined a moment onstage for Taylor Swift as she accepted an award, celebrities have taken to their assorted Twitter accounts and blogs to react.

The celebrity Twitter reactions to the Kanye West VMA outburst are brutal and frankly I agree with most of them. Kelly Clarkson took to her official blog and reeled off a very long entry where she called West an a-hole. The celebrities who reacted on Twitter were slightly less brutal about what they thought of West’s actions, but they were still critical of his horrid storming of the stage and humiliating of a 19-year-old girl.

Swift’s own reaction after the incident was to leave the stage and cry. Later, after she had composed herself, she was given a second chance at making her acceptance speech by none other than Beyonce.

Taylor said after the show, “I was standing on stage and I was really excited because I’d just won the award and then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn’t excited anymore after that.  “I don’t want to start anything. I had a great day. I’ve been sent so many text messages and everyone’s been really nice. I’ve had a really, really fun night.”

Kanye West took to his official blog, at the Kanye University, to say sorry to Taylor Swift over an incident onstage at the MTV VMAs 2009.

The rapper embarrassed himself and 19-year-old Taylor Swift at the VMAs when he stormed the stage and snatched the microphone out of the country singer’s hands. He ranted about how Beyonce should have won Best Female Video 2009. Swift soon left the stage looking upset. You can see the video and a photo of what Kanye West did at the VMAs 2009.

In the way in which only Kanye West knows how, he took to his official blog and made a belated CAPS apology for ruining the moment which Beyonce later let Swift reclaim. Later in the ceremony, Beyonce let Swift take her own moment onstage as she accepted Video of the Year 2009 for Single Ladies.

“I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom [Andrea]. I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said. She is very talented! I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the bleachers! …………………… I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!…………….. Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade!!! I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down!!!!! I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologize to Taylor 2mrw. Welcome to the real world!!!! Kanye West made more of a fool of himself than usual at the this year’s MTV Video Music Awards 2009.

The rapper this year managed to upset just about everyone in the audience, he spent a lot of the latter-half of the awards being booed, and eventually he was asked to leave after a particularly nasty incident involving Taylor Swift.

Taylor Swift won the moonman for the VMAs Best Female Video 2009.

Kanye West decided that the deserving winner had actually been overlooked and stormed the stage to let everyone know. West took to the stage and removed the microphone from Taylor Swift’s hands as she was mid-way through her moment in the limelight. He than began ranting about how Beyonce should have won and Swift left the stage, visibly upset.

“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time,” West said. “One of the best videos of all time!” A clearly embarrassed Swift stood motionless, not knowing what to do as West continued his rant. Eventually, audience members rose to their feet and booed the rapper down as cameras captured a mortified Beyonce.

West took his seat (to make matters worse, time was up and Swift didn’t even have a chance to fire back) and controversy continued to ensue as a multitude of celebs told him off, prompting security to circle the area. Pop Tarts learned that Swift was comforted by her friends and family immediately afterwards and was upset by the whole incident. An inside source told Tarts that West was asked by a big-wig at MTV to immediately leave the show. (via Fox News)
