Jennifer Lopez reportedly cried and ran off stage to compose herself during a performance this weekend. Lopez was a headlining act at the Mohegan Sun Arena’s 15th anniversary celebration on Saturday. She took to the stage in that naked spiderweb thing she always wears. She opened with an acoustic performance of If You Had My Love, one of the first love songs she wrote back in 1999 when she was only one husband in (since then, she’s had at least one broken engagement and two additional failed marriages). ‘[This was] the first song I wrote about love,’ Lopez told the audience. RadarOnline.com says the 42-year-old then became ‘visibly distressed,’ as she continued, ‘What is love? As the last song I wrote about love… a lot has changed since then’ (she’s in heat again, what else is new?) A witness recalls, ‘At the end of the song she started sobbing and had to take a few moments to keep it together. She held it together for one song but then ran offstage crying. She only sang a few more songs and she was obviously out of it. Everyone was so sad for her. It was really dramatic.’

I ask in the title, which I never do, because I’m on the fence and I want to know whether you guys get the conceited vibe from this video. This is the Jennifer Lopez Papi music video she was shooting on the streets surrounded by randoms who kept dropping her during the stunt sequences. It starts out like a mini-movie, establishing the story arc. And then she eats some food. Because that’s one of those things she does. And then she leaves her hotel in unflattering shorts and a half-shirt that make her look boxy and misshapen. There’s some product placement for a cell phone and for a brand of car. And there’s some dancing. But mostly, it’s an ego-stroke as the 42-year-old mother-of-two prepares for her third divorce. Do you think the video is cute, funny, and irreverent… or just conceited?
