The sources who admitted, 24-hours ago, that they had no damn idea what they were talking about have leaked more info to People.com about this weekend’s split (incidentally, for more-accurate news on the separation, go HERE or HERE). Sources told the magazine that Aspen took a hit out on Klum and Seal’s marriage and settled for no less than blood: ‘Aspen didn’t go as well as planned, there were more lows than highs. Aspen was the final straw. When they came together for Christmas as a family, things had changed and they fought a lot. Their Aspen trip was a bit of a mess. Instead of enjoying being back together as a family, it was difficult for them to get along… [Heidi was] done with the arguing. She doesn’t want to fight anymore and thinks it’s better to separate before their arguing starts to affect their kids.’ Here’s the couple in Aspen December 26.

I guess this explains why, hours before the release of a statement confirming separation, sources fed misinformation to People/ Us Weekly claiming that, SIKE, Heidi Klum and Seal were still together and working things out. The erroneous source reports claimed the couple were fighting but would not split. Um. In a statement to People.com Sunday night, because the only thing more fun than burying stories on a Friday evening is doing so Sunday evening, the couple said: ‘While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.’ Turns out the sources who were BBM-ing ‘ZOMG, NO!’ had no damn idea what they were talking about. Jason Binn, a friend of Klum’s for more than 20 years, says ZOMG, NO: ‘All this is just shocking to me. I’ve only seen them as the most loving couple.’ A source who’s worked with Klum says ZOMG, NO: ‘The Heidi and Seal I knew was the couple everyone loves; super passionate and in love.’ Adds another… ZOMG, NOOOOO: ‘They were always all over each other, practically groping, totally in love. It has to be something major. They have four kids together, and they’ve always been very committed.’

Since everyone knows what’s happening in their marriage anyway, Heidi Klum and Seal have confirmed their separation with a statement to People.com: ‘While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.’ TMZ.com is still adamant that the couple will divorce, speculating Klum tired of Seal’s temper (differing from weekend reports in the British tabloids that his partying was to blame). The website claims Seal’s aggression was starting to affect their children and Klum’s too highfalutin to slum with an aggressive has-been. They’re living together for now, but that’ll change too.
