Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale Staging Photos

At the end of last week, I pointed out that a spuriously-sourced tabloid rumour about Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale was untrue. Since, you know, the report wasn’t based on anything and didn’t really make any sense (every one calm down). It was just a rumour from the creative fiction department of Star. That said, within 24-hours of the tabloid story coming out, Stefani and Rossdale staged these family photos together which is annoying because it’s only going to make people think they protest too much. The split rumours started January 27 and these photos, that I’m somehow just seeing now, were taken January 28 and 29. So, someone’s rep BBM-ed a bunch of frowny faces along with a link to the Star story, causing the family to pose for these pictures. They were together around Los Angels January 28. They staged pictures kissing in the park Jan 29.

Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale Aren’t Splitting

Star picked a couple at random with whom to play Tabloid Mad-Libs. ‘Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s reign as rock’s royal couple is coming to an end,’ claims the tabloid. A source tells Star the couple has been fighting: ‘When they got together, it was Gavin who had the big career. He’s had to watch as his rock-star status dwindled and hers soared to stellar levels. Gwen often wonders what… secrets Gavin is hiding, [she] feels like she doesn’t even know. Therapy doesn’t seem to be working. Everyone is saying a divorce could happen any day now. It’s not a question of if, it’s when.’ I’m gonna call ‘LOL, Nope!’ on this one, if only because it’s paper thin. Also, Gossip Cop and Rumor Fix sources deny the story (with the same wording): ‘Completely untrue. They are not divorcing.’

Gwen Stefani ran out of red lipstick and switched to pink for the cover of InStyle November 2011. It’s a pretty cover, she’s stunning. And she’s 42. And she has that body after two kids. I’m coming to the only logical conclusion: that pooping out an IRL baby while ingesting red lipstick is the only way to become and stay that thin. Well, you can commence hating yourself while trying to see through her translucent skin (protip: turn the screen brightness up, and tilt your screen back, then you’ll be able to see right through her). Her interview and shoot below.

Gwen Stefani Goes To Cannes For The Yachts

Gwen Stefani is one of the many celebrities who fly to Cannes each year regardless of their involvement with the movie industry. It’s been a while since I did candids since they usually suck, but these pictures serve as a reminder of how bad you’re supposed to feel about yourself after eating that second cream cheese bagel. I, for example, feel bad enough to put down my third cream cheese bagel.

Stefani was aboard Roman Abramovich’s yacht Luna, yesterday. This woman has that stomach after two baby things. I don’t have that stomach after two sodas.

Gwen Stefani Isn’t Like Those Pantless Hussies

Gwen Stefani covers Elle May 2011. We get the 41-year-old, with swept back hair and a confused dress. It’s like someone glued a bunch of nice dresses together in a wind tunnel. Then got annoyed and stopped. Maybe something got in their eye. I don’t know. I see four dresses masquerading as one. And hair that I stared at, tilted my head one way and then the other, for an alarming amount of time; wondering how much hair dye and spray it took to get like that. Whatever’s going on with this cover, I like it. And I’ve kind of hated most of the covers released this year. I didn’t like Stefani’s Elle UK cover from last month either. It was… disorienting. And untidy. I dunno. Like, I wanted to pick it up and shake it like an Etch-A-Sketch and put the elements the right way up. Well, in any case, I like the composition of this better in some ways. And I like everything she says in her interview. Because she gives good interviews. She’s already spoken about how crappy it was for her being pregnant; she pretty much hated most of her second pregnancy, and identified that as the cause of writer’s block. She’s saying the same thing in this interview; punctuating sentences about pregnancy with the word ‘horrible.’ I know you guys fed back that you liked her candor. Well, there’s more. So knock yourselves out. Better still, there’s something I’d read as passive-aggressive jealousy if I didn’t like Stefani as much (as I have since high school). Asked about artists young enough to be her daughters, Stefani quipped, ‘Really? I don’t see myself in those girls. I usually put pants on.’

Gwen Stefani Felt Gross After Becoming a Mom

Gwen Stefani has spoken about how she felt after becoming a mother to second son Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale in August 2008. The 41-year-old has revealed that she was unhappy with her body after having her baby, leaving her feeling ‘gross’, ‘big,’ not ‘cool’, and too ‘out of touch’ to write any new music. This is given as the reason No Doubt’s comeback was free of any freshly-written material and instead rehashed their older hits. ‘I hadn’t planned on doing a tour; I’d had Zuma, I felt so gross, I got so big and felt so out of touch and not cool. I was trying to write this cool record and nothing came out,’ said Stefani. ‘I felt so bad because you’ve got this whole band waiting, but I couldn’t write. So we said, ‘Let’s go on tour”. The singer also admitted going back on stage was difficult because she found performing her old material so emotional, ‘We had no new single, we hadn’t been on stage together for, like, five years and every night I’d get teary-eyed because of those old songs. I’m up on stage and I’m singing songs about relationships I’ve had and I’m looking over and my kids are watching me. It’s very surreal.’ I never wanted one of those baby things, but now I’d better never have one, lest I become ‘big’ and feel ‘gross’ at having to gain a couple dozen more pounds. Moreover, this means some women really get bigger and don’t look like they swallowed a large grape like Victoria Beckham or Rachel Zoe.
