Leighton Meester And Her Mother Are Classy

Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl is suing her mother for spending money in the style of a vapid Real Housewife, instead of using the funds for their intended purpose. Meester, who starred in a sex tape about which everyone seems to have forgotten, has pulled the classy move of suing her mother. This is hardly the first time a celebrity has sued a parent and it won’t be the last. But it remains the move of a class act. Meester claims that, as her brother was not able to afford medical care of which he was in urgent need, she sent funds of around $7,500 that she claims her mother diverted and spent on plastic surgery, Botox and hair extensions. Meester also wants a judge to declare a supposed verbal contract between her and her mother that Meester pay $10,000-a-month for life, on pain of a further lawsuit, since the mother refuses to work, be declared fabrication.

Blake Lively Thinks Twitter Breeds Narcissism

Say what? I was updating my status. And my earphones were in. I can’t hear a word you’re saying. Where was I? Oh yeah, Blake Lively declared herself above joining Twitter the same week Gwyneth Paltrow opened an account. Which should demonstrate the mess we’re in right now. Explaining in the new issue of Glamour why she doesn’t have a Twitter, she admitted fame’s all the delicious narcissism with a side of vapidity she’ll ever need. ‘People ask me why I don’t tweet,’ said Lively, in the July issue of Glamour. ‘Honestly, I’m so sick of myself.’ She then did some shilling for brands she’s being paid to endorse and she spoke of the break-up with Penn Badgley (she’s now dating Leonardo DiCaprio).

Leighton Meester covers Nylon magazine February 2011. She covers the American issue, as above, and the Korean issue which is below along with interview snippets and further pictures. All Nylon covers look like they were shot by Terry Richardson, but this one appears to be shot by Marvin Scott Jarrett. The 24-year-old has begun the promotional trail for her derivative of Single White Female movie, The Roommate, co-starring Minka Kelly. Below, in her interview, the Gossip Girl star talks about that show’s character and starring in Country Song. Meester also talks about preferring to be judged by family and friends, because the interviewer couldn’t think of anything more scandalous to ask about.

Jessica Szohr is nude for SoBe’s latest campaign; an advertising strategy based soley around nudity, if Ashley Greene’s naked SoBe water pictures from last year are anything to go by. Szohr, whose name is surprisingly hard to spell, is wearing nothing but body paint for a brand of water I’m assuming is made from glitter and lies. I would apply my ‘Ke$ha taint rule of nudity’, but this is probably supposed to be artistic. Or something. I can’t tell. Boobs confuse me. There are further, slightly awkward, pictures of a rather uncomfortably-looking Szohr, as she tries to cover herself. It’s almost as if she didn’t like standing in the street with half-a-dozen or more crew. How odd. There’s also behind-the-scenes video.

Leighton Meester covers Allure January 2011. The magazine is nice enough to choose a cover image where Meester, of Gossip Girl, looks very pretty. She looks elegant and ready for Spring/ Summer with the hints of red/ dark pink splashed around the cover and used on her lip. The hair and styling are soft and 40s/ 50s-style. And the dress appears understated, although hidden by her poorly-positioned arm. Inside, head-to-toe in Louis Vuitton, Meester’s not so lucky.

The above image, wearing little but a clear plastic Louis Vuitton raincoat, Meester looks like a designer-clad drowned rat. She looks cold, depressed, and like those giant pair of underwear are chafing. Seriously, how the heck big are those church panties? Meester speaks to Allure about Gossip Girl, her attitude toward drugs, whether she’s rivals with co-star Blake Lively, and her love life. Blake Lively’s Breasts are Dating Ryan Gosling

Blake Lively, who, and I’m not kidding, had me typo her name as ‘Breasts Lively’, yes, really, is no longer single. Despite looking very friendly on the set of Gossip Girl with ex-boyfriend Penn Badgley, Lively’s off the market and is dating someone else. Someone who’ll appreciate each breast for what it is; a silicone mountain of glitter and lies… LIES. It was reported, weeks ago, that Lively’s breasts, and possibly the rest of her, were dating Ryan Gosling. Turns out that’s probably true as she was spotted at Tuesday’s Blue Valentine premiere. People magazine are all over that, like a year’s worth of covers depends on it… oh, wait.

Blake Lively, 23, and Ryan Gosling, 30, were first spotted together in October at Disneyland where they took in the sights and some ice cream at the park, an appropriate setting since Gosling once was a Mouseketeer.  Neither of the actors is admitting to anything serious. ‘She’s an incredible actress; she’s a good friend,’ Gosling told People at a lunch Thursday for Blue Valentine in New York at the Kimberly Hotel.
