Leighton Meester’s mother dropped her $3 million parental support lawsuit after realising it made her look Toddlers & Tiaras-level insane. The actress first sued her mother for spending $7,500, intended for her brother’s medical bills, on botox and plastic surgery. Her mother counter sued for breach of verbal contract, claiming to have ‘sacrificed her happiness,’ for the 25-year-old to become famous. But the counter suit to replenish the botox fund has been dropped.
Michelle Trachtenberg was almost cast in another vampire franchise. In a recent interview with Allure November 2011, Ashley Greene admitted losing the role of Bella Swan in Twilight to co-star Kristen Stewart. Greene was all passive-aggressive and fake happy about it. I get the distinct feeling that Trachtenberg gives zero f**ks about losing the same role. Since Trachtenberg has already done the long-played out monster thing. She told Us Weekly of how her pale skin put her in the running, only to miss out because of scheduling: ‘There was definitely interest here and there because there’s only so few pale girls in Hollywood,’ she explained. ‘I’ve known [director of 2008's Twilight] Catherine Hardwicke since the movie Thirteen. I was actually supposed to star in that, but I was on Buffy at the time… I guess schedules never worked out. I already have Buffy; I’ve already done the vampire thing. The Carrie Diaries, the prequel to Sex & City, will reportedly be made into a television show for the CW. Deadline is reporting that the book based on Bradshaw’s high school years will be made by the executives behind Gossip Girl and the deal is currently in its final stages. The Gossip Girl writers and the book’s author will be among the producers. The book focuses on Bradshaw’s senior year of high school before she leaves for New York to become an underemployed sometimes-writer who has nothing more insightful to write about than her friends’ sex lives. Earlier this year, the main SATC writer, Michael Patrick King, also responsible for the movies, detached himself from this project, ‘I took [Sarah Jessica Parker's] Carrie Bradshaw from 33 to 43. That’s what interested me, her growth in those years. I didn’t even want to know who were her parents were. To me, she could have just materialized at 33. I have no interest whatever in a prequel.’ Blake Lively has long been rumoured to play Bradshaw in this poor man’s Gossip Girl, even though she’s turned 22 through 24 over and over again the entire time I’ve written for this site. Taylor Momsen gave an interview with Elle because she’s such a hardcore hamburglar. She tried to convince people that she quit Gossip Girl voluntarily. This is months after producers said she was fired. I tend to believe producers. There were multiple rumours over months that she would be fired and then she was. She was a brat and people on set had nothing but bad things to say about her work ethic and conduct on set. She was petulant, spoiled, entitled, and deigned to work on Gossip Girl. And now she claims she quit. Moreover, she says she’s quit acting altogether. So she can be hardcore and give more interviews to Elle. Asked ‘And any acting projects planned?’ Momsen replied ‘I quit acting, actually. I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.’
