Preggos: Snooki, Megan Fox, Gisele Bundchen

There’s a bunch of baby news that I’m lumping together because The Babies is contagious, clearly, and I don’t want anyone else being struck down. Firstly, there’s a new report today that Megan Fox is expecting a baby girl. Which I overlooked, until I saw today’s photos of her possible bump. There’s something Precious in there, and there’s a 50/50 chance it’s a girl. So, sure, why not? In other Precious One news, Gisele Bundchen will become insufferable again during her second pregnancy. And, finally, I guess ITW outbid the other rags, because they’ve landed a Snooki exclusive about the sex of her baby. She’s expecting a boy whom she’ll name either Jionni LaValle Jr. or Lorenzo LaValle. Snooki is due in September, around the same time as Fox (so they’re both carrying tiny).

Jessica Alba Bemoans Post-Baby Body In Allure

Jessica Alba is complaining about things. I, for one, am shocked. Alba covers the August 2011 issue of Allure. It’s an odd cover in its composition; from the choice of garment to the make-up. I don’t know. Something about the cover’s just off to me. And she’s been lightly misted with glitter and lies. Alba talks to the magazine about how she’ll never again look as she did in Into the Blue. Oh, and she makes a passive-aggressive swipe at Gisele Bundchen that makes it all okay.

Gisele Bundchen Responds to Sunscreen Scandal

Gisele Bundchen has responded to the controversy she caused when making comments about sunscreen. Bundchen was quoted as saying ‘I cannot put this poison on my skin,’ referring to sunscreen. ‘I do not use anything synthetic.’ Baring in mind the model has appeared in advertising campaigns for Nivea Sun products. Promoting her own organic skin care range, she added that instead of putting lotion onto her bikini body to prevent that lobster glow, she avoided sun exposure after 8 a.m. each day. Cancer experts were quick to speak out and make clear her misinformation, fearing her influence would stop some from wearing sunscreen altogether. ‘Sunscreen prevents damage to the skin and is of fundamental importance for the prevention of cancer,’ said Dolival Loao, head of dermatology at Brazil’s National Cancer Institute. ‘This is not any poison, when a public person makes a statement like this, it creates confusion.’ The model has spoken out to defend herself, again, claiming she was badly translated from a non-English interview. ‘Gisele would never say not to use sunscreen because she has had family members who have had skin cancer. She simply stated that her all-natural skin-care line does not have SPF because there is not an all natural SPF available,’ publicist Amber Clapp told StyleList. ‘When using sunscreens, she selects ones that are free of parabens, oxybenzone, PABA and retinyl palmitate.’

Gisele Bundchen Offers More Parenting Advice

We’ve already heard Gisele Bundchen put her perfect feet in her perfect mouth calling other mothers failures for not breastfeeding/ potty training/ giving birth naturally the way she did with her perfect son. This was after saying other pregnant women ‘turn into garbage disposals’. The model gained scores of complaints for her breastfeeding comments in particular. Other mothers, it turns out, were still sore about the whole ‘you’re a fat, incompetent parent’ thing and didn’t react well to being told how to breastfeed too. Mothers, you’ll be delighted to know that Bundchen apologised for calling you crap at breastfeeding. Feel better, don’t you? No? Okay. Then you probably shouldn’t read on as she’s telling you what kind of perfect guy you’re supposed to be breeding with too. More specifically, please refrain from getting pregnant unless you have a ‘great man’ to breed with. SCREW YOU, single mothers/ lesbian parents etc. etc.

Gisele Bundchen says she loves being a mother and advises other women to wait for the right man before starting a family. The supermodel, married to Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, with whom she has 9-month-old Benjamin, said: “Before you have children, you have got to make sure you’ve got a great man. You can’t settle for less… someone you love, and someone who has the same beliefs.” [Page Six]

Her comments can be read one of two ways. Given that she poops 10 lbs of sanctimony every morning, I’m sticking with my initial observations.

Gisele Bundchen Explains Breastfeeding Quote

Someone must have patted Gisele Bundchen on the shoulder to inform her of just how much of a sh*tstorm her breastfeeding comment has generated. The supermodel mother-of-one (and stepmother of another with husband Tom Brady) made comments in Harper’s Bazaar UK which weren’t met with the best reception. The remark, about how other mothers should essentially be jailed for ‘failing’ to breastfeed their offspring for the first six months, were confirmed as from the horse’s mouth on her own website. However, she tries to explain what she believes are misconceptions about the intent behind her comment.

My intention in making a comment about the importance of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law. It comes from my passion and beliefs about children. Becoming a new mom has brought a lot of questions, I feel like I am in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for my child. It’s unfortunate that in an interview sometimes things can seem so black and white. I am sure if I would just be sitting talking about my experiences with other mothers, we would just be sharing opinions. I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge. I believe that bringing a life into this world is the single most important thing a person can undertake and it can also be the most challenging. I think as mothers we are all just trying our best. Gisele Bundchen Wants a Breastfeeding Law

Gisele Bundchen is such an aggressively obnoxious c*nt with some (most) of the comments she comes out with, mostly those about motherhood, that it’s pretty headache-inducing to write about her. Bear in mind, she was coming out with this crap before she was a mother, when discussing her stepson with husband Tom Brady. Bundchen has come out with a heck of a comment, saying that other mothers should be jailed for not breastfeeding for the first six months. Her sentiment is one with which I do not care enough to argue, not being a mother myself. However, she’s breathtakingly arrogant making comments like these in Harper’s Bazaar UK, in which she says ‘I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.’

To Gisele Bundchen, breasfeeding isn’t just beneficial… it’s essential, and should be international law. “I think breastfeeding really helped me keep my figure,” Bunchen, 30, tells Harper’s Bazaar UK. The supermodel welcomed Benjamin, her son with husband Tom Brady, in December of last year, and revealed an impressive bikini body months after giving birth.

She adds, “Some people here (in the US) think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?’ I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.” [Us]
