Emma Watson Covers Elle UK November 2011

Emma Watson covers Elle UK November 2011. Can we talk about these covers? I added both, just to avoid confusion. The above is, clearly, the newsstand cover; a preview of it leaked to Twitter this weekend and it’s all about Watson’s FACE, FACE, SRS BSNS FACE, her amputated leg and her crotch as she’s sitting. Then there’s the subscriber cover… ooh. Sorry subs. That’s a damn ugly cover. In case you’re wondering, no, I wasn’t drunk and messing up basic cropping in MS Paint at wacky hours this morning. That’s the real subs cover and that’s exactly how it was cropped by Elle UK. I added the two scans of the cover I found online, she’s just cropped all weird like that. IDK. Tagged scans from her interview also below.

Emma Watson Is Really Hard To See, Right?

Emma Watson covers Harper’s Bazaar UK August 2011. The magazine decided that a lens flare right next to Watson’s face would be a great look for their newsstand cover. I can’t even see the girl’s face. Underneath the moronic use of lighting, I think Watson looks pretty. I can just about make out freckles, which I never noticed before, and a cute outfit. There’s something in the foreground obscuring her outfit though. Everything about this cover is stupid and annoying. But her interview’s pretty interesting. In it, we learn that Los Angeles scares Watson and that the effort of feigning anger is enough to reduce her to tears. Oh, and in some photos she’s wearing a wig probably cut with pinking shears.

Emma Watson Covers American Vogue July 2011

Emma Watson has been giving lots of samey interviews and doing press as the end of her franchise approaches. For the most part, we just get an elaboration of why she really left Brown. And a few samey photos. The 21-year-old’s styled a little differently for Vogue and so at least there’s something to look at. Photos show Watson with slicked hair and a darker lip and eye than we’re used to seeing. She kind of looks like the emo cross-dressing boy version of Emma Watson, who’s doing an impression of a Superman villain in one of the photos. But, you know, cuter. See below for more of the plastics and metallics-heavy styling in this Mario Testino shoot, for which Watson is wearing Prada Fall/Winter 2011 on the cover.

Emma Watson Talks About Leaving University

Emma Watson already denied rumours of bullying, when asked whether student taunting about her movies was the reason for leaving Brown University. This weekend, Watson addressed her time at Brown again. This time admitting the deeper reasons behind leaving before she’d finished her study. ‘I was in denial,’ she told The Sunday Times. ‘I wanted to pretend I wasn’t as famous as I was. I was trying to seek out normality, but I kind of have to accept who I am, the position I’m in and what happened.’ I don’t think Watson’s conceited, but that’s almost a Paris Hilton level of conceited thing to say. She could have put that in terms that made her seem less self-absorbed (in an interview where she talks about being ‘intimidating’ to the opposite sex, no less). Clarifying that, in fact, none of her classmates is an a$$hole about her fame, Watson added, ‘I’ve never even been asked for an autograph on campus. I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook.’ So she’s not being harrassed constantly on a campus full of easily-impressed starf**kers. Okay, sure. ‘It made me so sad when all this stuff came out that I left Brown because I was being bullied. It made no sense at all. Brown has been the opposite,’ she continued, ‘Even if I was being given a hard time, I wasn’t going to wuss out of university because someone said ‘Wingardium leviosa’ to me in a corridor, or ‘Ten points for Gryffindor.’ I’ve been dealing with the media since I was nine. If I can’t stand up to a few people giving me a hard time. I’ve had so much worse.’

Emma Watson Transfers From Brown University

Emma Watson is leaving Brown University. And she’s transferring to another, as yet unnamed, university. The Harry Potter actress was rumoured to have been bullied during her time at Brown. It was alleged, by New York Daily News, that classmates would heckle her for right answers in class. The most popular taunt being, ‘Three points for Gryffindor!’ She was also allegedly harassed and ‘stalked, during a Brown versus Harvard football game, as she watched in the stands. Refusing to leave, it’s reported she, ‘sat with two security guards in orange vests’ and was ‘escorted in and out of the stadium,’ as insults and further movie quotes were shouted at her. Watson was asked about the report, in a reader-submitted question on Time.com. ‘No [it never happened],’ she replied. ‘Actually, I’m really glad that [was] asked. That has never happened to me. Maybe someone said it under their breath, but I’ve never, ever had anyone say that when I’ve been in a class.’ Well, she’s leaving anyway. She’s suddenly found time in her schedule, after writing on her website that she was struggling to keep up with the course load. Watson’s spokesperson also denies the bullying and tells the NY Times that Watson has chosen to pursue a ‘course not offered at Brown.’

Was Emma Watson Bullied At Brown University?

It’s being speculated that bullying is what really drove Emma Watson out of her university. Bare in mind, this is the same university blamed for fanning the flames of that fake nude picture scandal. New reports suggest snide remarks from classmates forced Watson out of her classes. Even though, if there is bullying, she’s not admitting it. Despite making the leap to attend Brown in the first place, Watson recently claimed her schedule was making it too hard for her to stay. ‘I will still be working towards my degree… it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought,’ Watson, 21, wrote on her website. ‘As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible.’ That feels more like an excuse than a reason.
