Courteney Cox Talks Marriage & Family

Courteney Cox has opened up to the Mail on Sunday about motherhood. The 44-year-old former Friends actress spoke to the newspaper about her marriage, Jennifer Aniston and how daughter Coco is a “princess” [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

On making her marriage to David Arquette work: “I get shocked by people getting divorced all the time, that’s why I choose to work on it. Therapy helps us. It’s so easy to grow apart; marriage takes work. I suppose you can work it out by talking to each other – I would just prefer to have a referee, it reminds us why we’re together.”-

On her 4-year-old daughter’s obsessions: “Coco’s favorites are Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, she’s totally into princesses.”

On her holiday plans: “Christmas is insane in our house. I say: ‘Let’s buy Coco one good toy,’ but he wants to buy her 900 presents. Our compromise lands closer to David.”

On her BFF Jennifer Aniston also spoiling Coco: “Coco calls her Nouna, which is Greek for godmother; they see each other and play together every weekend. The other day Jen came over with her yoga teacher and Coco stuck it out for an hour doing yoga with them!”

Courteney Cox’s next attempt at a big screen movie career sees her starring next to Adam Sandler, in ‘Bedtime Stories’, which is opening Christmas Day.

Will Smith Can’t Shake Scientology Ties

Will Smith still insists that he and wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, are not Scientologists [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

Just like I never tire of he and Beyonce Knowles getting all the plum Black parts in Hollywood, it warms the cockles of my stone-cold heart, to hear Smith is still trying to dig himself out of the Scientology trap. Smith is friends with a handful of Scientologists and so, according to Hollywood lore, that makes him a Scientologist, no? NO! 

I spent the morning at London Zoo, that does not make me a cuddly-wuddly Koala Bear. Same convoluted, insane logic applies here.

When asked outright if he was a follower of the religion, Will Smith replied:

No, but when people are afraid of religion they have to go back and get in touch with the Good Book. Fear of other religions means you’re questioning your own understanding, and that’s just not where I am.

Why is he such good friends with the Tom Cruise:

Tom is one of the most open, honest and helpful people I’ve met in Hollywood, or really anywhere. I mean, how many people in his position would want me to win, want me to be a bigger and better movie star? Few people in this business want me to win like that. I was so used to competition between other artists that I just didn’t get him at first. And then Tom just broke it down to me and said, Will, we are not competing, so don’t think that way. That blew my mind because that is not how this business works at all.

But, what about what Will has done for Tom:

Well, I hooked Connor up! It’s just to have someone who knows what you’re dealing with and being able to talk to them and get good advice and know that they mean you the best. I think now I’m mature enough to know how important it is to bounce things off the wall to someone who knows exactly where I’m coming from.

Kate Winslet can be seen in the image above, wearing a slimming Herve Leger dress, at the premiere of ‘The Reader’, at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City, on Wednesday evening [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

…and before you ask, YES, I am sure that is her!

My little English Rose looks absolutely fabulous. The Posh Spice ’air’ diet is working wonders for her waistline. Not that I am calling her fat, you understand. I think ‘husky’ is a nicer word, is it not?

Anypoop. The formerly ‘husky’ actress, Winslet, attended the premier of the movie and then turned side-ways and had everyone agog. They were all like, “DUDE, where the eff did Kate Winslet go!?! She was here a second ago, she turned side-ways and now she disappeared!”

Does having babies in Hollywood make you thinner? I think it might. All these skinny bitches, Winslet, Kate Beckinsale, Coke Kate Moss and many others, shrank down to the size of my little finger after getting preggers.

Note to self, MUST get knocked up after the holidays, to lose the extra weight…

Reese Witherspoon Doesn’t Understand Fame

Reese Witherspoon is one of many mega-famous woman who just do not understand how fame works [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

‘Spoon tells Parade Magazine about how she is wide-eyed with shock that her being famous is having a negative impact on her children. She even mentions, without a hint of self-awareness, that she has had to pull daughter, Eva, out of a ‘wonderful school’, because the paparazzi have been harassing the little one so much!

Says ‘Spoon:

“She was so harassed that we had to take her out.

And it doesn’t stop on school grounds. The photographers even ruin family occasions like Halloween egging on the kids to get the right shot.

“The most difficult part is seeing my children being followed and harassed. They’ve been treated terribly. They were shouted at in their Halloween costumes, photographers screaming, ‘You don’t look scared.’”

The drama has prompted the ‘Spoon to think twice about life in Hollywood.

“I hope not to live in this place forever.”

I bet that the pap-smear-azzi have probably done nothing of the sort… I would bet a whole packet of Cheetos that they just took a few totally non-creepy, long-lense-candids, whilst hidden under a camouflage tarp and Eva The Diva threw celeb-spawn tantrum. Who does Eva think she is, Alien Princess - Suri Cruise?!?

Rihanna’s Gucci Commercial – Video

Alien Princess, Rihanna, has been do-gooding – 25% of the proceeds from a new Gucci ‘Tattoo Heart Collection’ handbag she is endorsing will be going to unicef.org [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

Gucci creative director, Frida Giannini, has said of the ad campaign:

“I wanted Rihanna on board with this project because she’s so young, so modern, and so iconic.” 

Rihanna adds:

“I have always been a fan of the Gucci brand and the products, especially their handbags. But most of all, I’m very very intrigued by what they’re doing with UNICEF. As an artist, I feel like it’s our duty to make it a better place if we can. I’m blown away by what UNICEF has been able to accomplish in Africa with the money that Gucci has donated to them. I’m very fortunate to be part of this wonderful collaboration.”

Ellen Speaks Out About Proposition 8

Recently-married Ellen DeGeneres has spoken out about the likelihood that the law is gonna screw her over, if/ when Proposition 8 passes… [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

“Watching the returns on election night was an amazing experience. Barack Obama is our new president. Change is here. I, like millions of Americans, felt like we had taken a giant step towards equality. We were watching history.

This morning, when it was clear that Proposition 8 had passed in California, I can’t explain the feeling I had. I was saddened beyond belief. Here we just had a giant step towards equality and then on the very next day, we took a giant step away.

I believe one day a ‘ban on gay marriage’ will sound totally ridiculous. In the meantime, I will continue to speak out for equality for all of us.”
