Shia LaBeouf has made a new best friend in the form of director, Steven Spielberg. Judging by the inferences one can make from the interview snippet below, there is some serious man-crushage going on between the Academy Award winning filmmaker and his 22-year-old muse.

The Beef has caught more than one lucky break. Before he starred in the Transformers franchise, the scrawny actor was best known for being the sidekick to actual leading men. He was the mini me of both Will Smith and Keanu Reeves in I Am Robot and Constantine respectively. The boy has to grow up and become a man sometime. In Hollywood, that comes in the form of being the headlining star in a movie that costs more than a buck fifty and not sinking the entire damn thing.

Having broken through in 2003 with the acclaimed kiddies’ film Holes, LaBeouf became a box-office star in 2007 when the Spielberg-produced Transformers and the Rear Window-for-teens outing Disturbia both hit the No1 spot around the world. Suddenly, Shia LaBeouf found himself an unlikely leading man.

“A lot of that had to do with Steven’s faith in me,” says the 22-year-old today. “It does a lot for your confidence, when you have someone like Steven Spielberg telling you that he wants you to lead his picture. It also makes the rest of Hollywood sit up and listen . . .”

And the tabloids weren’t too far behind. Throw in a pivotal role in last year’s Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and now, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and you’ve got yourself a glittering career. (full interview @ The Herald)

Pozzitive, the multi-award winning comedy production company whose directors have made some of the most important and era-defining comedy shows, including French & Saunders, Not The Nine O’Clock News, Harry Enfield & Chums, The Paul & Pauline Calf Video Diaries, Spitting Image, Victoria Wood – As Seen On TV and The Young Ones, have launched what has been billed as an online ‘encyclopaedia of British comedy.’

Compiled using material from their sketch shows, sitcoms and programmes spanning 20 years, the site at Pozzitive.co.uk offers revealing stories about the most popular comedians including the true story of why rehearsing an Alan Partridge sketch with Noel Gallagher proved unexpectedly difficult, the time when Harry Enfield’s testicles got stuck in his costume seconds before appearing on stage (!!!) and why Paul Merton pelted his co-writer with forty large haddock…

Visitors to Pozzitive.co.uk will be able to purchase shows via an in-site store with links to all DVDs and Download-To-Own audio from Amazon & Audible.co.uk.

David Tyler, who set up Pozzitive with Geoff Posner, said: “We’re excited about the way comedy can be used to engage and interact with the public online. We’ve been fortunate to have worked on some of the most important shows in British comedy history and, over the years, we’ve collected a vast amount of exclusive show material which we decided to put online for the world to enjoy. Much of this information will never have been released before let alone collated in one place.”

Pozzitive are still developing comedy formats across TV, radio and online and work at the cutting edge of comedy with shows like Armando Iannucci’s ‘Charm Offensive’ and ‘Jeremy Hardy Speaks To The Nation’. They’re currently in production with the 2nd series of the smash-hit sitcom “Cabin Pressure” starring Stephanie Cole and Roger Allam.

Wife of R&B singer Usher Raymond, Tameka Foster, reportedly wants to have further cosmetic surgery to improve her post-baby figure. This is despite the fact that the mother nearly died a few weeks ago after her (alleged) lipo went horribly wrong, leaving her on the brink and in a coma induced by doctors.

I never pictured Foster as a thrill seeker, but if further surgery and the risk of death coming again so soon doesn’t prove you’re a badass, I don’t know what does.

An insider told the National Enquirer “It was the worst few days of Usher’s life — but now he’s frightened to death all over again because Tameka insists she still wants the surgery. She wants to wait a couple of months, and then go through it again in the States.”

They continue, “Tameka is still determined to get a full body makeover. Now Usher is desperately trying to convince her that she’s beautiful just the way she is. He swears he’ll be the one in the hospital if he has to go through the risk of another life and death battle with Tameka.”

Kelly Clarkson, the woman who says she has always had a problem with her weight but has gone on to be a star anyway, has opened up about her real feelings on the subject. 

The American Idol alum says that she is happy with her weight and that she won’t be pushed around or bullied by people who tell her to slim down. The singer also says that she has always been chubby and does not care what people think — she also points out that she has been the same weight since Season One of American Idol and millions of people didn’t give a shit and voted for her anyway.

She said, “I feel very fortunate coming from ‘American Idol’. I was the biggest girl in the group. I’ve always been thicker and millions of people voted for me. People are born all different shapes and sizes. People like me this way.”

I agree to an extent, although Clarkson sounds a little blithe about something as prevalent and serious as being overweight.

I think she is fabulous and could out-sing most of the current top 10, but maybe she would have done well in her quote to acknowledge that a healthy weight and BMI (Body Mass Index) is preferable to actually being obese. Just saying.

Formerly kind of hot actor, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, has  checked into a rehab to deal with his alcoholism.

Suspicions arose when the Cork-reared actor failed to show at the IFTAs in Dublin earlier this month, where his acclaimed TV series The Tudors won 10 awards. The day before, he was allegedly spotted buying spirits in London. He also missed the Oscar Wilde Awards in LA, the annual celebration of the Irish in Hollywood, which is staged just before the Academy Awards.

Before filming the last series of The Tudors, producers insisted that he steer clear of alcohol, with his behaviour monitored by minders.

The actor has completed rehab previously, in 2005.

Anne Hathaway has spoken at length to USA Today about her situation with her ex-fiance, Raffaello Follieri. The star has until now kept a relatively dignified silence about the scandal surrounding their breakup… but now the girl has a movie to promote damn it [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

Hathaway split with her former beau, after it was revealed that he peed with the toilet door open and snored… ok well maybe not, but the relationship problems of the average non-celeb can’t even compare to the off-the-scale F*CKERY that was Follieri’s arrested for fraud and money laundering (for which he was later sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison).

According to USA Today newspaper:

“I started making fun of it around my friends and family and also to let everyone know it was okay to be struggling with it, as well. If I can find humour in it, that means I’m going to be okay. If something happens to me that I can’t laugh about, look out, there goes my soul.

“As horrible as what I went through was, it’s not the worst thing that could happen to a person. In the history of humanity, it doesn’t even come close.

“But I was talking to someone the other day and said, ‘There’ve been a lot of lessons, maybe not quite enough life’.”

Hathaway says that she is determined to learn from the traumatic events of 2008 and will now ask a guy if he snores BEFORE getting engaged to him:

“I’d say this is the year (08) that I began to learn how to love, if anything. Going forward, it’s just crying all the time because I love everybody so much. It’s profound, and life-altering, and glorious.

“People who knew me and loved me best, like my parents, always respected my desire to be independent. But I couldn’t get by this year being independent. There’s merit in the lone-wolf, go-it-alone, follow-your-own-drummer thing, but I think I was taking it a little too far. And I got knocked on my (butt) this year in a big way.”

Leona Lewis  has revealed her celebrity crush. According to  Star, the singer has been eyeing Gossip Girl actor, Chace Crawford, ever since he performed a cameo in her new video for ‘I Will Be’ [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

An inside source told the tabloid, “Even when the shoot was finished, Chace and Leona hung out. You could tell Chace really liked her, and it looked like the feelings were mutual.”

Well, tough turds. Lewis CAN’T have him, damn it. I’ll mud wrestle her before letting go of peen that good and I’m known to cut a bitch when she messes with my sexy times action. After all, if I release Chace into the wild, I’ll be one sex slave down and will have to go scouting for a replacement… and nobody wants that now do they.

P.S. For the bitches on here who are going to spill their panty pudding in protest at the above, you should know that Lewis has a boyfriend that she has been seeing since she was in pampers or some shit, so technically she is not on the market. That being said, Chace’s eyebrows of doom are hard to resist!

I think this is a good solid list for the most part, although Spencer Pratt missed a trick, as I don’t see the word DOUCHE anywhere in his quote. It would have been less effort to just write “I will be less of a douche” 10 times on a piece of paper and staple it to his forehead. I’m less concerned about his diet than of his ASSholiness. 

In addition, I am pretty sure Kanye has already broken his resolution and is somewhere CAPS BLOGGING about a flack who got on his nuts. Unless someone is going to handcuff his hands behind his back and confiscate his MacBook Air, I’m pretty sure there is about as much chance of him being nice, as there is me letting all my sex-slaves out of my basement.

This is your second film with Brad Pitt after co-starring with him in ‘Babel’. Is there anything noteworthy about working with him that the moviegoer might be interested in knowing: He is unbelievably committed to what he does. In both films, there’s been a sense that he’s asked really difficult questions of the film before he’s committed, and he sort of tends to be, I suppose from the outside, a little bit reticent to jump in. But that’s only because he wants to know if he’s going to commit 100 percent, he wants to know that the film’s going to be as committed as he is. And so I really admire him for that. He’s really tireless.

You’re not a dancer by trade, but is it true that you had some childhood dance instruction: Yeah, I studied ballet, but also in drama school the most powerful training for me was the movement training. And look, if I had my way over again, I’d be a Butoh dancer (contemporary dance form originating in Japan), or I’d desperately try and finagle my way into working with (modern dance choreographer) ‘Pina’ Bausch. So, (in Benjamin Button) I worked with Michelle Johnston, who was the choreographer.

Courteney Cox has opened up to the Mail on Sunday about motherhood. The 44-year-old former Friends actress spoke to the newspaper about her marriage, Jennifer Aniston and how daughter Coco is a “princess” [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

On making her marriage to David Arquette work: “I get shocked by people getting divorced all the time, that’s why I choose to work on it. Therapy helps us. It’s so easy to grow apart; marriage takes work. I suppose you can work it out by talking to each other – I would just prefer to have a referee, it reminds us why we’re together.”-

On her 4-year-old daughter’s obsessions: “Coco’s favorites are Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, she’s totally into princesses.”

On her holiday plans: “Christmas is insane in our house. I say: ‘Let’s buy Coco one good toy,’ but he wants to buy her 900 presents. Our compromise lands closer to David.”

On her BFF Jennifer Aniston also spoiling Coco: “Coco calls her Nouna, which is Greek for godmother; they see each other and play together every weekend. The other day Jen came over with her yoga teacher and Coco stuck it out for an hour doing yoga with them!”
