The readers of this site aren’t the only people who obsess over and question the weight of Megan Fox. Upon every posting of images of the actress for her Armani campaign, there are always a few playful cries of ‘She makes me hate eating. WHY?!’ or similar. It’s in jest, but you’re hardly the only ones to notice the girl’s figure. For reasons apparent only to those who make a nice side-living selling-out, the trainer of Fox has done an interview about her weight. Speaking to Hollywood Life about the actress’ weight and diet, Fox’s trainer, Harley Pasternak, exclaims, ‘Do I worry about Megan getting too skinny? Yeah!’ I can’t… where do they find these people? Are there some wicked buff hobos being picked up and asked to train the likes of Fox, Robert Pattinson, Katy Perry and Amanda Seyfried (this trainer’s list of celebrity clients)? ‘Believe it or not she has this really fast metabolism,’ explains Pasternak. ‘People thought ‘Oh she must be anorexic’ but she’s far from that. So her training is all about body toning and sculpting. With her it’s really about if she’s eating enough of the right things.’

It’s Opposite Day and I’ve started listening to British pop music and reading Men’s Fitness, for the articles. The above is what I’m going to assume is the magazine’s ‘Roid Rage’ issue, with Matthew McConaughey ‘roid arms. I know the dude works out, and he’s in great shape for someone who seems to survive on weed and the nutriants contained in his own shirts (he’s eating them, rather than wearing them, I assume). But, what the heck is going on with his guns? I don’t really feel like perusing the cloud of fap that is Google Images for comparisons, but from memory he’s not quite that big. Would you agree this is probably a Crime Against Photoshop so the magazine can better shill that wifebeater?
Paris Hilton has addressed her recent weight gain. That’s actual weight gain and not the Photoshopped ‘before and after’ pictures used to shill the mid-week tabloids. Hilton, who’s clearly missed the spotlight since it was taken by ex-friends Kim Kardashian and Nicole Richie, is making some kind of comeback. I can’t really be sure to what end she’s coming back. What she’s coming back from. Or why. But she’s back. And she’s filming another reality show and she’s making talk show appearances with nothing else to promote. Celebitchy.com has a great article addressing Hilton’s weight and quotes the 30-year-old, who thinks she ‘still looks 20,’ from the print edition of OK! Rather than go the Kardashian route and shill a year’s worth of Lies&Style diet covers, Hilton takes a more refreshing approach. She let the herp germs wither her digestive system so she could be wicked thin again. I jest. She said, when asked about the gain, ‘I was underweight. Now I’m a normal weight. [Cy and I] go on jogs every morning.’

Sofia Vergara on The Talk discussing being asked to lose weight for red carpet.
Sofia Vergara is Emmy Rossum. Both are hammered into the ground by dry interviews where the person speaking to them cannot seem to think of an original question or two. Rossum talks for minutes at a time about her ‘snatch patch’, used on the set of Shameless. Vergara is always asked about her weight. She covers the latest issue of Shape. There are two covers, one wearing a dress and the other wearing a bikini. I ignored the bikini one, because it was just too easy. That said, it’s relevant to this piece, so the images are below. The Modern Family actress appeared on a talk show called The Talk, which apparently exists, and she spoke about how she can never find clothing to fit for the red carpet. Dresses lent to her were usually size 0, she said, adding, ‘I could never wear like really fashionable things, I couldn’t even pick a color or a designer.’ Vergara was advised to lose weight and shown photos of other actresses on the red carpet. She quipped, ‘They might look better in pictures, but I look better naked.’
Jessica Simpson is losing weight for her wedding. Which is almost certainly a good thing. As, frankly, I can see the jokes about how heavy she looks in her wedding dress coming a mile off. The 30-year-old singer hired celebrity trainer Tracy Anderson to help her fit into whatever non-white moomoo will pass for her wedding dress (I jest). ‘She wants to look healthy,’ Anderson took it upon herself to tell Us Weekly. She added that Simpson ‘is in the mind-set that this is a big, forever lifestyle shift.’ I doubt that. I can’t quite fathom someone who once had a hard time distinguishing fish from chicken as a healthy-eater. But stranger things have happened (Simpson getting engaged to her very own K-Fed, for one).
Sofia Vergara covers the March 2011 issue of Shape Magazine. I joked a few posts back about the magazine running out of bikinis, because they’d put Marisa Miller in a dress too. I guess there’s some kind of crippling bikini shortage (perhaps Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue had some kind of custom job built out of scraps from the laundry hamper). Because Shape has decided to put Vergara’s amazing curves in a dress. A not especially nice dress. In a really odd colour that does nothing for her. You pretty much can’t tell she has a waist, or boobs, or two arms/ hands/ legs for that matter. It’s a pretty oddly-composited shot and there’s not much to like about it. Which is a shame, as I rather like her. That said, she’s being rather repetitive in her interviews again. Talking about being a proud Latina and how that influences a positive body image… blah, blah.
