Brad Pitt Felt Pathetic In His Boring Marriage

Brad Pitt is using his Spite Thesaurus ™ and his meanest outside voice in mocking his marriage to Jennifer Aniston, in efforts to shill his new movie. Because movies don’t sell themselves and because Aniston has been doing the same since their 2005 divorce, Pitt threw his whole five-year marriage under the bus without much provocation from Parade Magazine. Asked about his marriage, he used the words ‘pathetic,’ ‘sick,’ and ‘pretend.’ Asked about that time in his life and why he picked Mr & Mrs Smith, he replied, ‘I spent the ‘90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn’t living an interesting life myself. I think that my marriage [to actress Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t.’ There’s more from the interview below.

Angelina Jolie Vanity Fair Cover October 2011

Angelina Jolie covers the October 2011 Vanity Fair. For some reason, Vanity Fair has stopped trying and so we’re left with a cover on which Jolie is trying to steal your soul. WTF is this cover? She’s one of the world’s most beautiful women, still, and yet this is like the Succubus Special. Her face looks distorted and off and they made her head look too big. There’s no focus on the rest of her body, yet it’s not really a proper beauty shot. You can’t even see her neck. This is somewhere between lazy composition and horrible Photoshop. Christ. Jolie uses the interview to set the record straight about the dumber rumours that persist in the tackier liar tabloids. For the record: she’s not engaged, she’s not planning a wedding, she’s not pregnant, and she’s not planning to adopt. So STOP IT.

Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Are Like Prisoners?

Matt Damon is a fan of hyperbole. Asked about the pressures of fame, Damon reminded you he’s friends with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Once you were thoroughly reminded, he made a questionable remark about the lifestyle of two people who also chose to be in the public eye. Using all their grown-folk staying-power remain there. Being essentially Johnny Depp, if Depp remained on American soil, Damon says he doesn’t envy Jolie and Pitt because they can’t leave their home without being followed or harassed, even when with their kids.

‘I have friends who are like prisoners. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, for instance,’ Damon told German television TELE 5 this weekend. ‘They can’t just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident…. I’m really lucky, because I have the best of both worlds. I do the work that I love and need, but don’t need paramilitary troops to protect me when I walk out my front door… I’m not as crazy as most of the other stars. I don’t really know why, probably because I married a woman who isn’t an actress. And we live in New York. As long as we don’t show up in typical tourist spots, we can walk the streets without being noticed. New Yorkers are very cool, they don’t flip out if they see me.’ [People]

Jennifer Aniston sounds sad about being Jennifer Aniston. I may be reading too much into her quotes from yesterday’s Inside The Actors Studio, but she’s talking about Brad Pitt again and it’s all a step away from knitting her cats booties and then matching ones for herself. There were quotes earlier in the week about how Aniston felt so sad about the Brad Pitt split she had to bad touch Justin Theroux in his sleep to make herself feel better. Well, she suggested so. I’m allowed to infer things that never happened from a sliver of information (churnalism FTW). In the same interview, she discussed her childhood and her parents’ divorce. I don’t care about that, I do care that she’s still eluding to her relationship with a man who’s since boned Angelina Jolie and become father to six children. Asked why she filmed The Break-up, quiet soon after her marital breakdown, she replied, ‘It was just a beautiful story about a couple breaking up, and I was slightly familiar on the topic and the issue. I sort of honestly felt like, what a great way to sort of exorcise some of that… I was like, ‘Why not?’ Turn the page.’

An Almost Angelina Jolie-Free L.V. Commercial

Somehow, Angelina Jolie convinced Louis Vuitton to pay her well into the eight figures so she could turn up make-up free for the entire campaign in her own clothes and well-worn Louis Vuitton purse. Pretty much, the print advert is Jolie sitting on a plank of wood as Annie Leibovitz paints Photoshop sparkles around her. This commercial for the same campaign pretty much contains three-seconds of Jolie in a 36-second advert. I’m surprised they even made her turn up at all. See below for half-a-minute of Cambodia jungle and only glimpses of the actress.

Jennifer Aniston Not Bitter About Angelina Jolie

Jennifer Aniston is not bitter about that whole Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt thing. The thing where her husband fell out of love with her, and possibly cheated on her, to be with another woman and raise six children. That thing. This is according to Lies&Style. And, this is also according to Perez Hilton who spoke with the magazine about his accidental meeting with the actress in a Los Angeles parking garage. So, make of these well-stirred lies what you will. When Hilton asked Aniston if she hated Jolie, she allegedly responded, ‘Look, that was so long ago, and we’ve moved on and we’re all adults.’ Hilton says he ‘Believe[s] what she has to say. I think she really has moved on.’ Aniston also still talks to Pitt, ‘I still talk to Brad and everything’s fine.’ Lastly, she told the blogger she dates a lot, ‘And just makes sure not to go anywhere public.’ Pictures show Aniston and co-star Adam Sandler attending the premiere of Just Go With It on February 8.
