Beyonce is Still Representing L’Oreal. I Guess.

Beyonce L’Oreal commercial, where she’s seen rehearsing with her dancers.

I mean… Beyonce is still accepting money from/ pretending to wear L’Oreal.

Even with that stupid skin-lightening scandal, a few years back, I’d actually forgotten Beyonce had any kind of relationship with L’Oreal. Perhaps because everyone and their mother seems to rep for Cover Girl. I guess L’Oreal paid more. Here is Beyonce’s most recent commercial for the make-up brand and below is a heavily-staged, older, behind-the-scenes video from mid-June.

Beyonce Me, Myself & I Video Alternate Version

It seems that this is the month for old-ass Beyonce videos to begin leaking. Last week, we saw that Beyonce’s much darker alternate version of Halo leaked.  Halo was a pretty similar effort to this: some well-worn scenes, and the addition of a story line cut from the final edit. Beyonce can be seen in the alternate version of Me Myself & I, her 2003 single, from her album Dangerously in Love.

This is a pretty crappy effort, which plays in forward order, rather than the reverse. It sees her leaving her cheating man to go live in a motel somewhere, while she’s throwing fur stoles and diamonds hither and thither. There are also additional scenes (like with her legs open for a good 30 seconds, from 1:25 in, that make it look like she is giving birth), and extra fashion set-ups…

Beyonce C&A Clothing Commercial and Photos

Watch Beyonce’s commercial for the C&A range of clothing… would you buy?

Beyonce actually filmed that commercial for that low-rent clothing chain. You remember, the one so broke most people haven’t seen one in years… not that it mattered, because the clothes were so busted. Anyhoo, Beyonce filmed the advert and now people are actually going to see it. I think she/ they are hoping these same people will scour the earth to find a C&A, that isn’t detritus-ridden, in which to buy said clothes. I think that is pretty unlikely. Just an opinion.

Beyonce Halo Video Alternate Darker Version

Beyonce Halo music video has an alternate, much darker, version… see above.

So, here’s the alternate version of Beyonce’s Halo music video that has made its way online. You remember Halo, from early 2009, right? I barely do, but then I was going out of my way to avoid Beyonce’s music at the time as I hated (almost) everything off the I Am… Sasha Fierce album. Well, a much darker sister video has been released. It appears to be a glossy, release-worthy, edit.

I only got about a minute in before realising it’s darker scenes mixed with set-ups from the version that ended up being released. Most of the video is comprised of unseen shots. 60 seconds of the near four minute promo was enough for me, but if you’re a stan it’s going to be worth checking out in full.

Parents Defend Girls’ Racy Single Ladies Dance

Parents defend their blindness in allowing little girls to grind in a dance routine.

This is the week for those in a position of influence and authority to completely excuse the behaviour or their youngers. First, it was Miley Cyrus being excused for acting like a little ho by her own father (because apparently all 17-year-olds are hos too, so it’s totally okay). Now it’s the fools behind this. I saw the video, a bunch of eight/nine-year-old girls doing the dance to Beyonce’s Single Ladies, but I didn’t post it. I avoided it, because I couldn’t quite work out how much it grossed me out. I’ve still not worked that out, but now it needs to be posted as the people responsible for sexualising these children Jonbenet Ramsey-style have climbed out of Chris Hansen’s pocket to speak. That video is above…

There were five girls, who were competing in World of Dance; the tour, according to Pop Eater, is the largest national urban and street dance competition of its kind and in 2010 it took place in nine major markets throughout the U.S. with the best street/ urban dance troupes in the country competing for a title.

There was quite the scandal when these little girls, clad in something too revealing IMHO as it was somewhere between a bikini and underwear, were shaking/ shimmying/ grinding their crotches in the audiences faces. It made me feel icky and I didn’t even get more than 10 seconds in on the first watch. I barely made it through at all. According to one of the people who greenlit this, the girls took their moves from Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel movie, not Beyonce’s video. Huh? Are kids movies that provocative too nowadays?

Larry Peters, executive vice president of The Hozman Group and rep for the dance competition, says the controversy was blown out of proportion. “There has been a great deal of controversy regarding this performance, and it has been taken out of context. It is a little sensitive now, to say the least,” Peters tells PopEater. “All the dance troupes do so many different dances, it is a very personal choreography and expression for every troupe and individual. These girls were amazing that day,” Peters says, adding, “They were two minutes of an eight hour performance event.”

Melissa Presch, the mom of one little dancer and Cory Miller, the father of another child in the group spoke to Inside Edition about the controversy. “I’m shocked, quite frankly, that people would suggest such things and say such things about 8 and 9 year old girls,” said Melissa Presch claiming the girls got their moves from the ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel’ movie, not Beyonce’s music video.” Miller added, “As a father, when you’re watching your kid, no. You’re looking at it as a proud kid who has really high energy, who doesn’t really know what she’s doing.” Peters was in the audience during the group’s performance and admits, “It was the very first WOD event I had ever attended, and I can tell you the cheering and screaming you heard on the video was from other parents and dance teams that were just blown away by their dance performance and precision. There was NOTHING provocative about what they were doing.”

The Single Ladies dance is under the cut, and a separate performance of them dancing to My Boyfriend’s Back (insert eyeroll) is also below for comparison.

Beyonce Films Ad for Low-Rent Clothing Chain

I’m kind of confused about this one, so make of this what you will. It had been reported that Beyonce shot a secret commercial for C&A. For those who didn’t know, C&A were a low-rent clothing chain in Europe whose stores were doing so badly here in England they shut down all their stores and I’d forgotten they existed (until I went on holiday somewhere else in Europe and I saw them there).

I guess they still have a penny or two in the bank, as they can afford the multi Grammy-winner. The television commercial was filmed in New York last month and will begin to air May 27, 2010. The singer is a superheroine in the spot, clad in black PVC, and acting on a green screen to the tune of Single Ladies.
