Ashlee Simpson-Wentz will make her Broadway debut in Chicago, beginning December 2009.

Ashlee Simson-Wentz has gotten another job, after being fired from Melrose Place. Simpson-Wentz must be pleased to know that at least someone wants her behind. The 25-year-old mother of baby Bronx will be taking up a role in Chicago on Broadway, after being in the musical back in 2006 on London’s West End.

Somewhere, Mischa Barton is crying into her half-empty bottle of meds. This is pretty much proof positive that some 20-something actresses can get one job after another, without that year-long lull in between.

Simpson-Wentz will begin her six-week Broadway run in Chicago from Dec. 2009.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has been fired from the cast of Melrose Place. The actress has been let go, along with another cast member, Colin Egglesfield.

Our favourite Simpson was booted off the show in a shake up, and her last Melrose Place will air in January 2010. According to executive producers, Simpson-Wentz was never meant to be a permanent fixture on the show.

They seem to be sticking to this unconvincing story, rather than a more salacious reason, despite her being in all the show’s original promotion. Simpson-Wentz was in the trailer and the posters. She was not promoted as a disposable cast-member, she came off as more of a permanent fixture on the show.

This is a classic bait-and-switch for the already annoying, suitably over-looked show. This is kind of dumb move, and Simpson-Wentz didn’t seem to know that she was not in full employment. She left her job at the local Burger King for this bullsh-t. She was giving interviews about bringing her baby on set and the joys of being a working mother. Someone prolly should have told her she was up for being fired earlier. Much, much earlier.

This is more of a crime of ever having worn horizontal stripes, rather than an all-out fashion fug-off alert. Unless you want to look like you just ate about 100 packets of Jelly Babies (I like Jelly Babies) then you should probably stay away from horizontal stripes, aka fatty stripes.

The women above, the sometime reality star and the sometime actress, wore this dress fairly well; considering it’s hideous and kind of looks like a Magic Eye picture. They both wore it with an unfussy pair of heels and minimal accessories.

Kim Karsashian wore the Nuj Novakhett dress, with a belt to set if off, as she attended a Canadian award show. Melrose Place actress, Ashlee Simpson, wore the dress and set hers off against a red purse as she attended a  Paleyfest event this week.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has truly gotten her pre-baby body back. The singer-turned-actress, who is currently working on the remake of Melrose Place, was seen out at dinner at Nobu 57 with her friends in NYC on Thursday night. Her baby son and her husband were no where to be seen, nor were any of her fellow cast-mates who are sure to be out of work soon too when the Place remake gets cancelled for sucking.

The star wore a black mini dress with a ruched hem, along with a black leather jacket/ purse and grey open toe heels. I’m loving the braided, flame-red her and matching lip colour.

The makers have clearly tried to put a gen 2.0 stamp on the project and they have done this in the same way as the middle-aged think-tank behind the Twilight franchise. Pop music by has-beens is a great way to show an 18-25 audience that you are really down with the kids. I feel sorry for ASSlee. Once this show tanks, she’s going to have to start job-hunting in this tricky recession-f*cked market.

More bad GG rip-off promos will surely be released on CW’s YouTube channel.

It’s been a while since we last saw Ashlee Simpson out and about with her gorgeous little baby son, Bronx. The pair are usually too busy making a nuisance of themselves on Twitter, to make public appearances. Either that, or Simpson is otherwise indisposed applying her husband’s guy-liner.

Ashlee Simpson and her husband Pete Wentz are the latest in a string of famous faces to support the NoH8 campaign.

The aim of the celebrity-filled campaign is to draw attention to/ overturn the California Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the ban on same-sex unions.

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz are keeping their mouths shut for gay marriage. The couple are the latest celebs to take part in NOH8, a campaign supporting efforts to overturn Proposition 8. They were shot by photographer Adam Bouska on Monday with the campaign’s signature look: “NOH8″ painted on their cheeks and duct tape over their mouths as a symbol of the pro-gay voices not being heard. Ashlee also holds a wedding veil in the pic. Which other rocker was in the studio with them? Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus also posed for NOH8.

Like the Wentzes, Hoppus took part in the big Hollywood rally and protest shortly after the California Supreme Court upheld the ban on same-sex unions. “My son asked me one time, ‘Some guys have girlfriends and some girls have boyfriends, but do boys sometimes have boyfriends?’ ” Hoppus told us at the rally. “I said, ‘Yeah, all kinds of people love different kinds of people. And that’s the world we live in.’ ” Bouska launched NOH8 with his partner Jeff Parshley in November after the passage of Prop 8. Shanna Moakler and a gaggle of other former beauty queen titleholders posed for the campaign shortly after the Miss California Carrie Prejean controversy erupted in April. (via E! Online)

Pete Wentz partys with strippers in Vegas

Pete Wentz is probably a good guy. He’s made fun of on here quite a lot, but to be honest it’s harmless jest and in general, Team Grindhouse has no real problem with him at all.

He is a band member, husband and a regular guy just doing his thing.

He kind of had a free pass on here to just live his life, without further comment… until these pictures came to light.

Pete: quick tip, if you want to avoid people calling you a scum-sucking douchebag DON’T be photographed pAArtying with strippers. Especially not when your beautiful wife, Ashlee, is at home, sharing with her Twitter pals how much she is loving being your wife and the mother of your baby (below).

Ed’s note: Was being lazy when I first posted this and so didn’t watch straight away. I just watched it now, and it actually looks really good. For those too drunk or tired to watch, in short, the pair play a couple caught up in a drugs-related mess. Ashlee and Pete play a couple in the show. 

I love Ash in the clip, very convincing and she can really act. Pete, not so much.

It was only a matter of time until some big-wig TV Executive somewhere noticed the AWESOME power of The Chin Twins. Pete Wentz and his wife, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz have just landed themselves a joint guest star role on CSI: NY [Website – Amy Grindhouse].

Now, I must say, CSI is a bitchin’ franchise, however the NY series is a complete turkey. It may have been coincidence, but I stopped watching CSI just after the New York pilot first launched. I tried to watch and it sucked so hard it must have scarred me for life or something – it’s a pale comparison of its sister shows.

Back to the post, ASS & Emo Boy will not be playing themselves (or playing with themselves… sorry, couldn’t resist). The new parents to baby Bronx Mowgli will actually be playing, “Bonnie and Clyde wannabes” in the episode, which is slated to air on 18 March.

This will be a new venture for Emo Boy, but ASS is an actin’ expert. She got her start as a child actress on 7th Heaven.
