Mystery Man – Seriously! Aaron Spelling was a gazillion years old when I worked at Spelling productions twenty-eight years ago – pretty amazing that Tori managed to do him in now, lol. Candy Spelling is writing a book, how convenient.

I would venture to agree with you – living with Queen Candy would cause anyone to stroke out – it’s amazing he lived as long as he did.

Hi Kelly, It’s nothing short of a miracle that Tori is a walking, talking member of society. Thanks for sharing that fabulous story. It’s further proof that her (presumed) eating disorders or whatever she has going on, are pale in comparison to how druggy/ cracky or whatever I would be if I’d had a mother like that.

I had a run-in with Candy Spelling when I was 19 years old and was working as an apprentice for, yes, Spelling Productions.

We “coded” film back then on these monster machines that went round and round making a click every 16 frames of film.

We were all sitting at our editing benches, prepping each reel of film to go up on the machine when the last one was done, when who goes whooshing by the open door but Lady Spelling herself, dragging Tori behind her. Tori was about eight years old, and she could see in the room. Obviously she was fascinated by the big machines, so she stopped and peered in, and we all smiled and said hi to her.

She was really cute, and waved at us, and that BITCH Candy yanked Tori’s arm so hard I swear it almost popped out of the socket – yelling at her to, “hurry up, they were late!”

The poor little kid just wanted to look in the room, but I guess Queen Candy didn’t want her daughter tainted by the peons.

I have always felt bad for Tori after that, because her mother was clearly a witch. I ran into her briefly years later, when 90210 was big, and she was an absolute sweetheart.

I always stick up for Tori when anyone gives her shit, because she should have turned out a horrible Hollywood brat-nightmare, and she did not. She is a nice person, has turned into a good actress and her mother is a heinous piece of work.
