When I saw the trailer I just new the movie Bruno was a lawsuit waiting to happen. Seems I was right and this movie is going to be like Borat 2, but with an Austrian fashionista rather than a Kazakstan TV presenter.
Earlier this week, Sasha Baron Cohen and Universal Studios were slapped with a lawsuit by California resident, Richelle Olson.
The lawsuit sounded like a load of baloney from the get-go, as the woman basically claimed that Cohen and his film crew gave her a beat down at a charity bingo event, in 2007. She says she was pushed and “fell and was surrounded by cameramen who attacked her. Later, she says she fainted, hit her head causing bleeding to her brain, and must now use a wheelchair.”
This woman is clearly none-too-bright, as she claimed that this incident was entirely on tape – but failed to realise that this meant the court would probably check the damn tape themselves and see she was talking out of her butt. Because there was a film crew, there was reams and reams of the full encounter that “clearly shows that Ms. Olson was never touched or in any way assaulted by Sacha Baron Cohen or any member of the production and suffered no injury.”
Universal called the lawsuit “frivolous” and “baseless” and has said they expect to be fully vinidicated. I concur and hope this woman can be prosecuted for wasting the court’s time.

sounds to me like she’s just an old woman who thoguht she could get someone to pay for her medical bills and such for the rest of her life
too bad she was none too bright, though. it was a nice little evil plan…lol
It was a plan that ignore web 2.0 and all the other electronic equipment around her that could have captured the moment. Thank heavens this looks like it’ll be thrown out.
That’s a totally unflattering 1pc outfit he’s sporting. His batty looks totally flat.
