Brittany Murphy Dies of Cardiac Arrest Age 32

Brittany Murphy passed away aged only 32, December 20, 2009. This is one of the saddest posts I’ve had to write all year. In news that is rocking the Twitter-sphere as I type, and that is being reported as fact on TMZ, Murphy passed away this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived.

The actress was so young and full of life, and for all anyone knew she was in good health. She was best loved for her roles in 8 Mile, Girl Interrupted, Clueless and several other movies, you can view a list at her IMDb, or Wiki. The Los Angeles City Fire Department confirms the 911 call was made at 8AM this morning.

The pretty actress was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. May she rest in peace and my thoughts are with her husband and family at this time. The tragic news is awaiting official confirmation from her rep, more details when and if they should become available.

Pictures of the late Brittany Murphy November 10, 1977 to December 20, 2009, along with a few photos of her with her husband, Simon Monjack.

This is far and away the saddest passing for me this year. She was such a cute little girl. So talented and full of life. I think I might even cry the first private moment I get. Freeway, Girl Interrupted, Don’t Say a Word, Spun, Clueless. Those were some timeless performances of which I am still in awe. I will miss her.

    1. Thanks for leaving the message Jeff, yes, it broke my heart writing this too. I liked this girl in each movie I saw her in, but she stole my teenage heart in Clueless!
