May I take this opportunity to say that no matter all the sh*t people talk about them, I absolutely love The Sun newspaper. They have the funniest articles on the face of the earth. They are as bare-faced and bold as I one day hope to be rich enough to get away with being.
(The first two lines in particular) of their review of Britney Spears‘ Circus tour made me laugh so hard that I nearly pooped my pants. I’ve read a few other reviews that echo the sentiment. Also, the lack of actual singing on the tour features on the front of a good few UK papers today. She is going to have to try harder, jiggle harder and maybe actually turn her mic on to impress the British crowds.
Take away the dry ice, amazing dancers, video screens and props from Britney Spears’ Circus Tour and what’s left?

Don’t get me wrong, the show is thoroughly entertaining for her legions of fans. But in the list of the best things about last night’s O2 gig, Britney would struggle to make the top five. The choreography, dancers and set were top class but blonde Britters parading in her undercrackers was completely uninspiring. (via The Sun)

Hardly, I think the review was funny. Also, they are right, it’s a medicated girl flicking her hair out of synch with the music.
The Sun IS funny, and Britney IS a whole lotta flash and hype. I wish her slobbering fans would wake up and realize that not-caring about her isn’t “hate”.
I love you for supporting me on this one Pauls – my lack of ability to pander to what people would like me to say about certain stars does mean that I am often cut off at the knees.
Anyone who actually thinks I *hate* any celeb is drastically overestimating how much time I have on my hands. Hate takes minutes out of my day that I don’t have time to spare. I have time to be honest – not to hate. x
